Gambaran Histopatologis Seminoma pada Anjing

Neoplasia atau tumor merupakan suatu kumpulan sel abnormal. Sel ini tumbuh terus menerus, tidak terbatas, tidak terkondisikan, dan tidak bermanfaat bagi tubuh. Tumor dapat terjadi pada seluruh bagian tubuh termasuk sistema reproduksi. Tumor sistema reproduksi yang sering ditemukan adalah seminoma yaitu sebanyak 40?ri total kasus tumor testis. Seminoma adalah tumor pada epithelium spermatogenik di tubulus seminiferus testis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati gambaran histopatologis seminoma pada hewan peliharaan khususnya anjing dengan pewarnaan Hematoxylin-Eosin.

Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengamati gambaran histopatologis sampel jaringan tumor seminoma milik seekor anjing jantan berusia tujuh tahun. Sampel didapatkan dari koleksi dokter hewan praktisi di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta yang kemudian menjadi koleksi milik Departemen Patologi, Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Sampel dibuat preparat histopatologis dan diwarnai menggunakan Hematoxylin-Eosin untuk diamati secara mikroskopik dengan perbesaran 100X dan 400X. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dan dibandingkan dengan literatur.

Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu gambaran histopatologis sampel jaringan seminoma ditemukan sel besar, berbentuk polihedral dengan batas jelas, dan sitoplasma eosinofilik. 

Neoplasia or tumor is a collection of abnormal cells in which the formation of cells that grow continuously, unlimited, unconditioned, and not beneficial to the body occurs. Tumors can occur in all parts of the body including the reproductive system. The most frequently found reproductive system tumor is seminoma, which accounts for 40% of the total cases of testicular tumors. Seminoma is a tumor of the spermatogenic epithelium in the seminiferous tubules of the testis. This study aims to observe the histopathological appearance of seminoma in pets, especially dogs, stained with Hematoxylin-Eosin.

The research was carried out by observing the histopathological picture of seminoma tumor tissue samples obtained from the collection of practicing veterinarians. Samples were prepared for histopathological preparations and stained using Hematoxylin-Eosin for microscopic observation with 100X and 400X magnification. The data obtained were then analyzed and compared with the literature.

The results obtained were that the histopathological picture of the seminoma sample found large cells, polyhedral shapes with clear boundaries, and eosinophilic cytoplasm.
