Peran Pakan Terhadap Kadar Protein Susu Kambing Perah Sapera

Kambing Sapera merupakan kambing persilangan antara kambing Saanen jantan dengan kambing Peranakan Ettawa betina yang berpotensi menghasilkan susu unggulan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui peran pakan terhadap kadar protein susu kambing perah Sapera. Sampel berupa susu, hijauan, dan konsentrat diperoleh dari empat kelompok kambing Sapera yang dipelihara di wilayah Kelurahan Girikerto, Kecamatan Turi, Kabupaten Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Kadar protein susu dianalisis dengan metode Kjeldahl, sedangkan hijauan dan konsentrat dianalisis menggunakan uji proksimat. Seluruh sampel diuji secara laboratorik di Pusat Studi Pangan dan Gizi Universitas Gadjah Mada. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan nutrisi pakan hijauan dan konsentrat berupa air, abu, lemak, protein, karbohidrat, dan kalori memiliki nilai p>0,05. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan, kandungan nutrisi pakan hijauan dan konsentrat tersebut tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kadar protein susu kambing Sapera. Hal tersebut dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor kualitas pakan yang diberikan maupun faktor genetik kambing.

Sapera goat is a crossbred goat between male Saanen goat and female Peranakan Ettawa goat that has the potential to produce superior quality milk. The purpose of this research is to determine the role of feed on the protein content in Sapera goat’s milk. Samples of milk, forage, and concentrate were obtained from four groups of Sapera goats raised in the Girikerto Village, Turi District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. The protein content of milk was analyzed using the Kjeldahl method, while forage and concentrate were analyzed using proximate analysis. All samples were tested in the Food and Nutrition Study Center at Gadjah Mada University. The research results showed that the content of forage and concentrate in the form of water, ash, fat, protein, carbohydrates, and calories have a significance value of >0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the content of forage and concentrate do not have a significant effect on the protein level of Sapera goat’s milk. This may be influenced by the quality of the feed provided as well as the genetic factors of the goat.
