Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan komposisi kimia susu kambing Sapera pada awal dan pertengahan periode laktasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Bhumi Nararya Farm di Girikerto, Turi, Sleman, Yogyakarta pada bulan November 2022 hingga Januari 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan 24 ekor induk kambing Sapera periode laktasi kedua. Sampel dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok berdasarkan masa laktasinya yaitu 12 ekor induk awal laktasi dan 12 ekor induk pertengahan laktasi. Sampel susu yang digunakan berasal dari susu yang diperah pada pagi hari. Parameter yang diamati adalah komposisi susu, meliputi kadar bahan kering, bahan kering tanpa lemak, laktosa, lemak, protein, dan kadar abu. Perbedaan rataan nilai komposisi kimia susu kambing Sapera pada awal dan pertengahan periode laktasi dianalisis menggunakan independent sample t test. The objective of this research was to determine differences in the chemical composition of Sapera goat milk in the early and middle of the lactation period. This research was conducted at Bhumi Nararya Farm, Girikerto, Turi, Sleman, Yogyakarta from November 2022 to January 2023. This research used 24 lactating Sapera goats during the second lactation period. Samples were divided into 2 groups based on their lactation stage, 12 lactating Sapera goats in the early lactation and 12 lactating Sapera goats in the mid-lactation. The milk samples used is the morning milk. The observed parameters of milk composition were contents of total solid, total solid non-fat, fat, protein, and ash. Differences in the average value of the chemical composition of Sapera goat milk in the early and middle of the lactation period were analyzed using an independent-sample t-test.
