Korelasi Kadar Testosteron Dada Ayam Bangkok yang Diberi Tepung Duri Freeze Dry Terhadap Ukuran Lingkar dan Bobot Dada Ayam Bangkok

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji korelasi kadar testosteron dada terhadap lingkar dan bobot dada ayam Bangkok yang diberi tepung duri ikan bandeng. Penelitian ini menggunakan 9 ekor ayam Bangkok yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok. Kelompok perlakuan (P1) terdiri dari 5 ekor yang diberi perlakuan pemberian tepung duri ikan bandeng 3,3 gr/hari sedangkan kelompok kontrol (P2) terdiri dari 4 ekor tanpa pemberian tepung duri ikan bandeng. Pemberian tepung tulang bandeng dilakukan selama 5 minggu. Pengukuran lingkar dada pada hari ke0, 7, 14, 21 dan 28, diakhir penelitian ayam dinekropsi untuk diukur bobot serta uji kadar testosteron dada. Sampel otot dada dimasukkan dalam larutan Phosphate Buffer Saline kemudian dipreparasi dengan metode freezing-thawing sebanyak 3x untuk kemudian dianalisis dengan metode ELISA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ayam yang diberi tepung duri ikan bandeng memiliki kadar testosteron dada, pertumbuhan lingkar dada dan bobot dada lebih tinggi dibanding dengan kelompok kontrol masing-masing yaitu 3,78±0,25 dan 1,88±0,81 ; 48,60±4,93 dan 35,30±6,16 serta 216,20±28,55 dan 128,02±23,50. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan ada korelasi positif antara testosteron otot dada dengan lingkar serta bobot dada ayam yang diberi perlakuan tepung duri ikan bandeng. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat korelasi kadar testosterone dada terhadap lingkar dan bobot dada ayam yang diberi tepung duri freeze dry.

This study aims to examine the correlation between breast testosterone levels and breast circumference and weight of Bangkok chickens fed milkfish bone powder. This study used 9 Bangkok chickens which were divided into two groups. The treatment group (P1) consisted of 5 individuals who were treated with milkfish bone powder 3.3 g/day while the control group (P2) consisted of 4 individuals without milkfish bone powder. Milkfish bone powder was given for 5 weeks. Measurement of chest circumference on days 0, 7, 14, 21 and 28, at the end of the study the chickens were necropsied to measure their weight and test their chest testosterone levels. Chest muscle samples were put in a solution of Phosphate Buffer Saline and then prepared by the freezing-thawing method 3 times and then analyzed by the ELISA method. The results showed that the chickens that were given milkfish bone powder had higher levels of breast testosterone, growth in chest circumference and breast weight compared to the control group, namely 3.78 ± 0.25 and 1.88 ± 0.81 ; 48.60 ± 4.93 and 35.30 ± 6.16 and 216.20 ± 28.55 and 128.02 ± 23.50. The results of statistical analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between breast muscle testosterone and breast circumference and weight of chickens treated with milkfish spines. The conclusion of this study was that there was a correlation between breast testosterone levels and breast circumference and weight of chickens fed freezedry bone powder
