Feline panleukopenia virus is a highly contagious pathogen that can cause acute infection in cats with clinical symptoms of fever, weakness, vomiting, diarrheal, and dehydration. This study aims to determine the profile of calcium, phosphorus, Na+, and K+, help confirm the diagnosis, and provide therapy to cat patients diagnosed with FPV at the veterinary medical services unit in Yogyakarta.

The data used in this study were twenty-three (23) blood samples from cats diagnosed with FPV and eighteen (18) blood samples from healthy cats. Then a rapid test and blood chemistry examination were carried out. The data were tabulated, the average value was calculated, and the normality test (Shapiro-Wilk) and the Independent-Samples T-Test were performed. The average levels of calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), sodium ions (Na+), and potassium ions (K+) were 9.8 mg/dL, 5.2 mg/dL, 146 mg/dL, and 4.6 mg/dL.

The results of data analysis on all parameters showed that there was a decrease in the levels of calcium, phosphorus, and sodium ions (Na+). These data indicate that feline panleukopenia virus infection affects the levels of calcium, phosphorus, and sodium ions.
