OPTIMASI PENGANGKUTAN KAYU BULAT ( DAHAN BAKU INDUSTRI ) TERHADAP PROSPEK INDUSTRI PERKAYUAN DI MALUKU

Untuk mengetahui sistim pemasokan kayu bulat ke industri-industri perkayuan di Maluku serta mencari biaya transportasi minimum untuk memperoleh keuntungan yang optimal, dilakukan penelitian selama 2 bulan terha­dap industri-industri tersebut. Data tersebut dikumpulkan langsung di industri perkayuan dan perusah2.an IIPH, sebagai pusat suplai. Data tersebut berupa jumlah kayu bulat yang diangkut dari pusat supJai dan jumlah kayu bulat yRng diterima di industri serta biaya angkutannya. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan "model transpor­tasi dalam analisis program linear". Parameter dari biaya transportasi ini diformulasikan

To know the system of log supply to wood industries in Maluku and searching minimum transportation cost get optimum profit, therefore a field research was done for two month in industries. The data collected directly from wood industries and "HPH" as the centre of supply. The data is total of logs that carried from the centre of supply and the total of woods received by industries and also its transportation cost. The data then is analyzed using "Transporation Model in Linear programming analysis". Parameter of the transportation cost is formulated into objective function using constraint wich is proper with the total of available logs to be carried or the desi­rable total of logs by the inudstries suitable with its capasity. In the transportation model, the desirable logs needed by the industries is assumed more than log supply. The other assumption as the basis of the model is minimum supplay from the centre of supply is equal or more than minimum total of demand and less than annual allowable cut (AAC) of the "HPH". The result of research and analysis prove that the transportation model in linear programming analysis can solve optimizing problem of log transportation to wood industries in Maluku. The other result also proves that the transportation system of logs from supplying centre to the wood industries during 1987 was not efficient, because of being wasteful of transportation cost, though the amount is not too much.
