Pemetaan Peternakan Kambing di Desa Sumberwuluh, Candipuro, Lumajang Sebagai Mitigasi Dampak Erupsi Gunung Semeru

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan keberadaan peternakan, mengkaji potensi wilayah pengembangan kambing dan mitigasi erupsi Gunung Semeru di Desa Sumberwuluh, Candipuro, Lumajang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober sampai November 2022. Penelitian mencakup seluruh peternakan kambing yang ada di Desa Sumberwuluh. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui survei terestris dan data sekunder. Data yang diambil dengan survei terestris yaitu berupa titik koordinat peternakan yang diambil dengan bantuan GPS. Data berupa peta dasar format shapefile dan batas administrasi desa diperoleh dari data sekunder. Data yang diperoleh diolah menggunakan metode sistem informasi geografi dengan aplikasi Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS). Hasil penelitian dalam bentuk peta menunjukkan bahwa terdapat persebaran yang tidak merata di setiap dusun di Sumberwuluh, yang disebabkan oleh ketersedian lahan dan pakan serta kepadatan pemukiman. Adanya erupsi juga menjadi faktor persebaran erupsi sehingga menjadi dasar mitigasi ternak untuk mengurangi besaran kerugian. Peta perencanaan wilayah pengembangan kambing menggambarkan Dusun Sukosari sebagai dusun yang paling ideal dalam pengembangan kambing di Desa Sumberwuluh.

This study aimed to map the existence of farms, examine the potential for goat development areas and mitigate the eruption of Mount Semeru in Sumberwuluh Village, Candipuro, Lumajang. The research was conducted from October to November 2022. The research covered all goat farms in Sumberwuluh Village. Data collection was carried out through terrestrial surveys and secondary data. The data taken by the terrestrial survey is in the form of farm coordinates taken with the help of GPS. Data in the form of base maps in shapefile format and village administration boundaries were obtained from secondary data. The data obtained were processed using the geographic information system method with the Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS) application. The results of the research in the form of maps show that there is an uneven distribution in each hamlet in Sumberwuluh, which is caused by the availability of land and feed as well as the density of settlements. The existence of an eruption is also a factor in the distribution of eruptions so that it becomes the basis for mitigating livestock to reduce the number of losses. The goat development area planning map describes Sukosari Hamlet as the most ideal hamlet for the development of goats in Sumberwuluh Village.
