Skripsi berjudul Cryptocurrency sebagai Aktor Nonmanusia dalam Perspektif Actor-Network Theory mengeksplorasi keagenan aktor nonmanusia dalam entitas cryptocurrency. Upaya tersebut menggunakan perangkat Teori Jejaring-Aktor atau Actor-Network Theory dengan memberikan landasan terhadap penjelasan mengenai aktor nonmanusia dan jaringan aktor-aktor. Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami pengaruh aktor nonmanusia dalam interaksi jaringan dan memberikan penjelasan yang memadai melalui perspektif Actor-Network Theory. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebagai studi kepustakaan terhadap Actor-Network Theory, riwayat kemunculan cryptocurrency serta observasi keberadaan cryptocurrency dalam masyarakat. Data yang tersedia dianalisis menggunakan metode penelitian hermeneutika-filosofis. Unsur metodis pada penelitian ini mencakup deskripsi, interpretasi, kesinambungan historis, heuristika, refleksi kritis peneliti. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan hal-hal sebagai berikut. Pertama, proses transformasi sosial yang terjadi dari jaringan cryptocurrency. Proses transformasi tersebut dapat dijelaskan dengan menunjukan perubahan sosial yang terjadi karena dan selama kehadiran cryptocurrency. Kedua, perubahan sosial tersebut melalui beragam respon aktor manusia dan nonmanusia dengan menolak kecenderungan determinisme teknologi dengan menunjukan transformasi sosial berdasar prinsip simetri umum dari Actor-Network Theory dalam empat momen translasi.

The thesis entitled Cryptocurrency as a Non-Human Actor in the Perspective of Actor-Network Theory explores the agency of nonhuman actors in cryptocurrency entities. This effort uses the Actor-Network Theory perspective by providing the basis for an explanation of nonhuman actors and networks of actors. This study aims to understand the influence of nonhuman actors in network interactions. This research was carried out as a literature study on Actor-Network Theory, the history of the emergence of cryptocurrency and observations of the presence of cryptocurrency in society. Available data were analyzed using the hermeneutic-philosophical research method. Methodical elements in this study include description, interpretation, historical continuity, heuristics, and critical reflection of the researcher. The results of this study indicate the following things. First, the process of social transformation that occurs from cryptocurrency networks. This transformation process can be explained by showing the social changes that occurred because of and during the presence of cryptocurrencies. Second, social change is through various responses of human and non-human actors by rejecting the tendency of technological determinism by demonstrating social transformation based on the principle of general symmetry of Actor-Network Theory in four moments of translation.
