REPRESENTASI TAARUF OLEH SELEBRITI MIKRO (Analisis Isi pada Konten YouTube Rein TV)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan representasi membangun pernikahan melalui proses taaruf oleh pasangan selebriti mikro Rey Mbayang dan Dinda Hauw. Penelitian ini berangkat dari tren taaruf yang makin banyak digemari oleh selebriti mikro. YouTube sebagai salah satu media alternatif media konvensional digunakan mereka sebagai sarana dalam menyampaikan pandangan dan proses yang mereka jalani terkait taaruf. Pemilihan Rey dan Dinda bukan tanpa alasan, selain eksposure media konvensional mengenai pemberitaan pernikahannya, Dinda dan Rey adalah pasangan seleriti mikro yang dengan gamblang menceritakan proses taaruf yang mereka jalani hingga akhirnya menikah. Menggunakan metode analisis isi kualitatif, peneliti melakukan pengamatan pada empat video di saluran YouTube Rein TV. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan jika taaruf dipresentasikan sebagai alternatif utama pengganti berpacaran sebelum menikah, taaruf sendiri dijadikan antitesis dari aktivitas berpacaran yang cenderung merugikan. Representasi taaruf muncul melalui proses yang mereka jalani, penekanan pada perbandingan proses taaruf dan berpacaran serta keterbukaan setelah pernikahan.

This study aims to describe the representation of building marriage through the process of taaruf by micro celebrity couples Rey Mbayang and Dinda Hauw. This research departs from the taaruf trend which is increasingly favored by micro celebrities. YouTube as an alternative to conventional media is used by them as a means of conveying their views and processes related to taaruf. The choice of Rey and Dinda is not without reason, apart from conventional media exposure regarding the news of their marriage, Dinda and Rey are a micro celebrity couple who clearly tell about the taaruf process they went through until they finally got married. Using a qualitative content analysis method, the researcher made observations on four videos on Rein TV's YouTube channel. The results of this study indicate that if taaruf is presented as the main alternative to dating before marriage, then taaruf itself is used as the antithesis of dating activities which tend to be detrimental. The representation of taaruf appears through the process they undergo, emphasizing the comparison between the process of taaruf and dating and openness after marriage.
