The K-Pop phenomenon is growing rapidly through one of its products, namely boy bands which are heavily promoted throughout the world. Through boy bands, the appearance of maleness looks slightly different from the male image in Indonesia. This image arose because of the appearance of idol boy bands consisting of male members showing the application of facial make-up, skin and hair care to striking clothing colors when appearing on or off stage. This appearance not only sparked controversy over the existing depiction of masculinity but also gave rise to a new name for the concept of masculinity, namely soft-masculinity. The emergence of boyband idols in South Korea is of course followed by the emergence of their fans/fandoms. This K-Pop phenomenon gave rise to a branch of activity in the realm of dance which is carried out as a form of appreciation for its fans, namely cover dance. Through qualitative analysis, the findings of this study are compared with Jung's theory of soft-masculinity as a basis for identifying soft-masculinity and used to examine the soft-masculinity performance that was presented by the boy band EXO and then represented by the cover dance group Cookie Monster Yogyakarta on and off the stage. The results of the study found that the consumption of Cookie Monster cover dance performers on indicators of soft-masculinity in the idol boy bands they play does not only become an element of the performance on stage, but their repetitive behavior makes the soft-masculinity they consume become embodied in their daily behavior.
