Fenologi Pembungaan Serta Pengaruh Jarak Tanam dan Pemberian Dosis Pupuk N-P-K Terhadap Produksi Buah Tanaman Gliricidia Sepium (Jacq) Steud di Wanagama I Yogyakarta

Semakin meningkatnya pemanfaatan sumberdaya hutan mengakibatkan produktifitas akan menurun. U11tuk itu diperlukan upaya rehabilitasi antara lain dengan pemuliaan tanaman, karena mampu untuk mwing!

The increasing of forest resources usage will cause decreasing of productivity. There for, we need some efforts to conserve it through tree inprovement. Because it. can increase soil productivity quantitatively and qualitatively. Flowering process is a stage in tree inprovement for producing fruits and seeds. The process can be easily observed on G. sepium plant. The research was conducted at "Wanagama I" Faculty of Forestry Gadjah Mada University. The experiment used spacing analysis with 16 block of G. sepium, since March 2001 until October 2001, by using factorial experiment with split plot des(gn. This research aims are ; (1) to find out flowering phenology, the morfology process and flower grouwth until fruit or pod maturity, time and peak flowering, (2) to find out pod and seed production by spacing and N-P-K fertilizer adding, (3) to find out the best spacing and dosage. Flowering phenology and fertilization of G. sepium involved ( 1) physical changing of generatif organ in the form of; (a) leaves falling process, (b) flower induction, ( c) flowering initiation, ( d) flower growing until anthesis, ( e) pollination and fertilization, (f) fruit or pod growth, (g) fruit or pod maturity process. (2) the period from flowering process to be mature was 64 - 63 days in some steps ; (a) bud forming in early July, (b) flower initiation for 15 - 19 days, ( c) the bud growing until maximum 7 - 10 days, ( d) the flower is receptive 2 - 3 days, (e) pollination and fertilization for 2 days, (f) fruit cir pod growth until maximum size in 28 days and fruit or pod maturity process in 16 days. Peak flowering was in end July of flowering percentage 38.02 %. No interaction from soacing adding N-P-K fertilizer to all variables. The spacing didn't influence for the fruit or pod and seed production. There for fertilizer dosage influenced to the fruit or pod and seed production directly. The best treatment of dosage 500 g/tree (P2) result of 385.17 fruits or pod was really different from PO, Pl and P3, and 2634.42 seeds was really different from PO, Pl and P3.
