Justifikasi Realisme Struktural Epistemik terhadap Inferensi Eksistensi Materi Gelap Berdasarkan Pembacaan Kurva Rotasi Galaksi

Perkembangan sains kontemporer telah sampai pada taraf yang semakin sulit dipahami khalayak umum. Sains telah berhasil memperluas domain investigasinya hingga mencakup sektor tak terobservasi. Materi gelap, sebagai salah satu entitas tak terobservasi tersebut, disimpulkan eksis berdasarkan pembacaan kurva rotasi pada galaksi-galaksi dan klaster-klaster galaksi. Penelitian ini mencoba mendekati diskursus tersebut dalam bingkai filsafat realisme struktural epistemik. Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah model kepustakaan. Objek material dalam penelitian ini adalah inferensi materi gelap berdasarkan pembacaan kurva rotasi galaksi dan klaster galaksi, sedangkan objek formal dalam penelitian ini adalah realisme struktural epistemik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam empat tahap, yakni: inventarisasi data, klasifikasi, analisis data untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan, dan penyusunan hasil dari data yang telah dianalisis. Data dianalisis menggunakan empat unsur metodis, yakni: deskripsi, interpretasi, koherensi internal, dan heuristik. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa: (1) ESR hanya dapat mengetahui aspek struktural dari materi gelap, sedangkan natur dari materi gelap yang relasinya mendefinisikan struktur tersebut tidak dapat diketahui; (2) jaminan epistemik ESR terhadap klaim eksistensi materi gelap hanya diberikan pada tingkat struktur yang dijelaskan oleh persamaan rotasi galaksi yang sukses; dan (3) inferensi eksistensi materi gelap berdasarkan pembacaan kurva rotasi galaksi dan klaster galaksi terjustifikasi oleh ESR melalui dapat diformulasikannya persamaan matematis gerak rotasi galaksi yang mengindikasikan eksistensi materi gelap ke dalam struktur set-teoretis dan terbilangnya secara eksistensial sistem primer dari teori rotasi galaksi yang menginferensi eksistensi materi gelap melalui kalimat Ramsey.

The development of contemporary science has arrived to the point where it is getting more and more difficult for public to understand. Science has been widening its domain of investigation towards the unobservable. Dark matter, being one of them, has been inferred as exist through interpretation of rotation curve of galaxies and clusters. This research attempted to approach the discourse through the lens of epistemic structural realism. The library method was used in this research, with the inference of dark matter through interpretation of rotation curve being the material object, whilst epistemic structural realism being the formal object. This research was conducted by combining data inventory, classification, data analysis for compatibility, and composing the results that had been analysed. Data were analysed using four methodical elements, namely: description, interpretation, internal coherence, and heuristic. This research concluded that: (1) ESR can only know the structural aspects of the dark matter, whilst the nature of dark matter which its relations define its the structure remains unknown; (2) ESR only grants epistemic warrant onto structural claims of dark matter through empirically tested galaxy and cluster rotation equation; and (3) ESR justifies dark matter's inference through galaxy rotation curve based on the set-theoretic structure formulation from galaxy rotation equation that inferred the existence of dark matter and existential quantisation of the primary system of galaxy rotation theory using Ramsey sentence.
