Peran Leader Member Exchange Terhadap Perilaku Kerja Inovatif Dimediatori oleh Psychological Empowerment

Perubahan industri saat ini menjadi tantangan yang harus dihadapi oleh organisasi agar mampu meningkatkan performansinya. Perubahan tersebut memaksa organisasi memunculkan strategi baru melalui inovasi. Inovasi organisasi biasanya diwujudkan melalui perlaku inovatif karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran psychological empowerment sebagai mediator terhadap pengaruh leader member exchange pada perilaku kerja inovatif. Pertisipan penelitian merupakan karyawan yang berasal dari segala sektor organisasi di Indonesia sebanyak 246 karyawan dengan masa kerja minimal 1 tahun. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan simple mediation model oleh Hayes (2018) untuk uji hipotesisnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa psychological empowerment terbukti memediasi penuh pengaruh leader member exchange terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif.

Industrial changes are currently a challenge that must be faced by organizations in order to be able to improve their performance. These changes forced the organization to come up with a new strategy through innovation. Organizational innovation is usually manifested through innovative work behavior of employees. This study aims to examine the role of psychological empowerment as a mediator on the effect of leader member exchange on innovative work behavior. The research participants consisted of 246 employees from all organizational sectors in Indonesia with a minimum working period of 1 year. This research is a quantitative study using the simple mediation model by Hayes (2018) to test the hypothesis. The results of the study show that psychological empowerment is proven to fully mediate the influence of leader member exchange on innovative work behavior.
