EXPLORATION OF PHARMACY FACILITIES READINESS TO PROVIDE IMMUNIZATION MANAGEMENT IN SOUTH JAKARTA, INDONESIA

Imunisasi adalah proses peningkatan sistem imun secara aktif dalam melawan sumber penyakit yang disebabkan oleh PD3I. Selain itu, data menunjukkan bahwa cakupan imunisasi di Jakarta Selatan masih terhitung cukup rendah. Sehingga, perlu adanya strategi khusus yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan cakupan imunisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesiapan apotek dalam menyediakan manajemen imunisasi dan mengetahui ketersediaan obat suhu dingin dan sistem manajemen vaksin di Jakarta Selatan, Indonesia. Penelitian survey berbasis online ini menggunakan metode non-eksperimental deskriptif yang dilakukan dari Oktober 2022 hingga Desember 2022. Target populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh fasilitas apotek di se-Jakarta Selatan. Metode convenience sampling juga digunakan untuk menghitung jumlah sampel dan metode statistik deskriptif dalam observasi hasil penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa kondisi fasilitas apotek se-Jakarta Selatan dari setiap bagian survey menunjukkan tidak siap. Kesiapan apotek dalam manajemen vaksin dan obat suhu dingin sebesar 65,34%, lalu kesiapan apotek dalam penyediaan SOP sebesar 41,69%, dan kesiapan dari segi sarana dan prasarana sebesar 48,11%. Meskipun begitu, masih ada harapan terkait peningkatan kesiapan di masa depan jika dilihat dari tingginya intensi apoteker, sebesar 61,37%, dalam menyediakan manajemen imunisasi. Namun, perubahan yang signifikan, rekomendasi kebijakan, dan kesadaran apoteker sangat diperlukan untuk mendukung implementasi pengadaan layanan imunisasi di apotek se-Jakarta Selatan.

Immunization is a process to increase the immune system actively against diseases caused by PD31. Moreover, data shows that immunization coverage in South Jakarta is still below of target. The intervention and reinforcement strategies should be applied to increase immunization coverage. This study aims to determine the readiness of pharmacy facilities in providing immunization services and find out the availability of cold chain drug and vaccine management system in South Jakarta, Indonesia. This online survey-based research used the method of non-experimental descriptive will be conducted from October 2022 to December 2022. The target population of this research includes all pharmacy facilities in South Jakarta. Moreover, convenience sampling will be used to analyze samples and all the output data will be observed with descriptive statistic method. Based on the results of the analysis above, it was found that the readiness of each sub-chapter was mostly not ready. The details are as follows, the readiness for management of vaccine and specific temperature drug is 65.34%, the readiness for standard operational procedure is 41.69%, and the readiness of facilities and infrastructure is 48.11%. However, there is still hope regarding increasement of readiness due to the relatively high intention of pharmacists in South Jakarta, as much as 61.37%, to carry out immunization services at pharmacies. However, a lot of quality improvement, policy recommendations, and awareness of pharmacists are needed to support the implementation of the procurement of vaccine services at pharmacy facilities throughout South Jakarta.
