Unsur-unsur Intrinsik Cerpen "Mahfuz Hafiz" dalam Antologi Cerpen Ahlul Hayy Karya Yusuf Zaidan: Analisis Struktural

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan unsur-unsur intrinsik yang terkandung dalam cerpen "Mahfuz Hafiz" dalam Antologi Cerpen Ahlul Hayy karya Yusuf Zaidan serta keterkaitan antarunsur intrinsiknya dalam menghasilkan makna cerita yang utuh. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori struktural dan metode yang digunakan adalah metode analisis struktural. Unsur-unsur intrinsik yang dianalisis meliputi fakta cerita yang terdiri atas tokoh, latar, dan alur; tema; dan sarana sastra yang terdiri atas judul dan sudut pandang. Berdasarkan analisis cerpen diketahui bahwa tokoh utama cerpen "Mahfuz Hafiz" adalah Mahfuz Hafiz. Tokoh tambahan dalam cerpen ini adalah al-Bartusyi, Mu'taz as-Siwi, Ummu at-Titi, Rami, para pekerja, para pekerja pengendalian binatang pengerat, para pelayan al-Bartusyi, Nazmi al-Wadnan, para arsitek, para pengawal al-Bartusyi, Faá¹­hi al-Farran, penjual kentang panggang, Salamatu al-Qahwaji, Ummu Zaglul, dan Ummu Rami, para kurir, al-Haltiti, kepala kampung, dan para tetangga. Latar tempat dalam cerpen ini adalah gang, reruntuhan, persimpangan gang, depan layar televisi, tempat kosong di ujung gang, balkon rumah Ummu Rami, rumah-rumah tetangga, dan tanah lapang bekas reruntuhan. Latar waktu dalam cerpen ini adalah pagi hari di musim dingin yang hangat, asar, magrib, malam pertandingan sepak bola, pagi hari setelah pertandingan sepak bola, duha, siang hari hingga waktu magrib, hari Kamis, hari Sabtu, hari Senin siang, hari Rabu sore, setelah salat Isya, beberapa saat sebelum pagi, hari Jumat, dan beberapa tahun kemudian. Latar sosial dalam cerpen ini adalah Mahfuz Hafiz merupakan seseorang yang berstatus sosial menengah ke atas karena ia menanggung biaya pembasmian tikus, latar sosial para tetangga yang tinggal di kampung merupakan masyarakat kelas menengah ke bawah, para tetangga merupakan masyarakat yang terbelakang dan sulit menerima hal baru, para tetangga yang tidak mudah percaya dengan berita di sekitar mereka sampai ada bukti yang jelas, dan keyakinan para tetangga akan status pernikahan seseorang melalui cincin di jarinya. Alur yang digunakan dalam cerpen ini adalah alur progresif. Tema cerpen ini adalah mengubah kebiasaan masyarakat membutuhkan perjuangan yang tidak mudah. Judul cerpen ini merujuk pada tokoh utama, yakni Mahfuz Hafiz. Sudut pandang dalam cerpen ini adalah sudut pandang orang pertama-sampingan. Hubungan antarunsur intrinsik dalam cerpen "Mahfuz Hafiz" karya Yusuf Zaidan meliputi keterkaitan antartokoh, tema dengan tokoh, tema dengan alur, dan judul dengan tokoh. Unsur-unsur intrinsik dalam cerpen ini memiliki keterkaitan antarunsur sehingga menghasilkan suatu makna cerita yang utuh.

This study aims to explain the intrinsic elements contained in the short story "Mahfuz Hafiz" in short stories anthology Ahlul Hayy by Yusuf Zaidan and the interrelationships between its elements in order to produce a complete meaning of the story. The theory used in this research is structural theory with structural analysis methods. The intrinsic elements analyzed include the facts of the story that consist of characters and characterization, settings, and plot; theme; and literary means that consist of title and point of view. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the main character in this short story is Mahfuz Hafiz. Additional characters in this short story are al-Bartusyi, Mu'taz as-Siwi, Ummu at-Titi, Rami, the workers, the rodent control workers, al-Bartusyi's servants, Nazmi al-Wadnan, the architects, al-Bartusyi's bodyguards, Fathi al-Farran, baked potato seller, Salamatu al-Qahwaji, Ummu Zaglul, Ummu Rami, the couriers, al-Haltiti, the village head, and the neighbors. The place settings in this short story are the alley, the ruins, crossroads of the alley, in front of the television screen, an empty space at the end of the alley, the balcony of Ummu Rami's house, neighbors' house, and the land ruins area. The time settings in this story are a warm winter morning, asar/evening, magrib/sunset, the night of a football match, the morning after a footbal match, duha, noon until magrib/sunset, Thursday, Saturday, Monday afternoon, Wednesday afternoon, after Isya prayer, some time before morning, Friday, and several years later. The social backgrounds in this story are that Mahfuz Hafiz is someone who has an upper middle social status because he bears the rat extermination cost, the social background of the neighbors who live in the village is lower middle class society, the neighbors who are retarded people and find it difficult to accept new things, the neighbors the neighbors who don't easily believe the news around them until there is a clear evidence, and the neighbors' belief in a person's marital status through the ring of his finger. The plot of this short story is progressive plot. The theme of this short story is changing people's habits requires an uneasy struggle. The title of this short story refers to the main character, Mahfuz Hafiz. The point of view in this story is the side-first person. The relationship between intrinsic elements in this short story includes the relationships between the characters, theme with the character, theme with plot, and title with the character. The intrinsic elements in this short story are related to each of the elements to produce a complete meaning of the story.
