AKURASI BEBERAPA METODE ANALISIS BITE MARK DALAM BIDANG ODONTOLOGI FORENSIK

Analisis bite mark merupakan salah satu metode identifikasi korban dalam odontologi forensik. Metode analisis bite mark sudah digunakan sejak lama untuk mengidentifikasi kasus kriminal dengan tujuan untuk mengungkap pelaku kejahatan. Tujuan penulisan narrative review ini adalah untuk mendapatkan informasi dan gambaran mengenai metode overlay analisis bite mark yang paling akurat antara metode manual, fotografi, fotokopi, dan komputer dalam artikel ilmiah selama 13 tahun terakhir. Studi literatur ini menggunakan database Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, dan Pubmed. Pencarian literatur menggunakan kata kunci yang sesuai dengan MeSH browser dan metode Booelan yaitu "bite mark", "overlay generation", "odontology forensic", "photography method", "image perception", "bite mark Indonesia". Terdapat 55 artikel ilmiah yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil review, metode komputer menunjukkan akurasi terbaik mencapai 66,1% sekaligus menunjukkan skor tertinggi pada penilaian akurasi dengan sistem skoring. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode analisis bite mark menggunakan komputer merupakan metode yang memiliki akurasi tertinggi dibanding metode fotokopi, fotografi, dan manual.

Bite mark analysis is a victim identification method in forensic odontology. The bite mark analysis method has been used for a long time to identify crime cases with the aim of uncovering criminals. The purpose of this narrative review is to obtain information and an overview of the most accurate method of overlaying bite mark analysis between photography, manual, photocopying, and computer methods in scientific articles during the last 13 years. This literature study used Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and Pubmed databases. The literature searching used keywords that match the MeSH browser and the Boolean method, namely "bite mark", "overlay generation", "odontology forensic", "photography method", "image perception", "bite mark Indonesia". There were 55 scientific articles that met the inclusion criteria in this study. Based on the results of the review, the computer method showed the best accuracy reaching 66.1% as well as showing the highest score in the assessment of accuracy with a scoring system. It can be concluded that the bite mark analysis method using a computer is a method that has the highest accuracy compared to photocopying, photography and manual methods.
