PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN UNDEGRADED PROTEIN PELLET TERHADAP KONSUMSI NUTRIEN, BOBOT BADAN, DAN BODY CONDITION SCORE KAMBING PERAH LAKTASI

2022 | Skripsi | S1 ILMU DAN INDUSTRI PETERNAKANPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan undegradad protein pellet dalam ransum terhadap konsumsi nutrien, bobot badan, dan body condition score (BCS) kambing perah laktasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di peternakan rakyat Dusun Kemiri, Purwobinangun, Pakem, Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan 12 ekor kambing Peranakan Ettawa (PE) laktasi periode laktasi ke-1 sampai 2 dengan rentang umur 2 sampai 3 tahun, bobot badan 45,9+4,9 kg, dan nilai BCS berkisar antara 2,5 sampai 3,0. Dua belas kambing PE laktasi dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan dengan ulangan masing-masing 6 ekor pada setiap kelompok. Kelompok kontrol diberikan pakan berupa hijauan dan konsentrat, sedangkan kelompok perlakuan diberikan pakan berupa hijauan dan konsentrat dengan penambahan 20% undegraded protein pellet dari sumber protein. Bahan pakan yang digunakan yaitu hijauan, konsentrat, dan undegraded protein pellet. Pakan hijauan terdiri dari tebon dan kaliandra, sedangkan pakan konsentrat terdiri dari ampas tahu, pollard, dan Nufeed. Proporsi hijauan dan konsentrat adalah 50 : 50 dalam bahan kering (BK). Variabel yang diamati berupa komposisi nutrien bahan pakan, konsumsi nutrien yang meliputi konsumsi BK, bahan organik (BO), protein kasar (PK), bobot badan, dan BCS. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan Uji Independent Sample T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi BK, BO, bobot badan, dan BCS antara kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan menunjukkan tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05). Konsumsi PK pada kelompok perlakuan menghasilkan nilai yang lebih tinggi dari pada kelompok kontrol (P<0,05 279,88+29,71 vs. 316,50+20,64 g BK/ekor/hari). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan undegraded protein pellet dalam ransum meningkatkan konsumsi PK kambing perah laktasi.
This study was conducted to determine the effect of addition undegraded protein pellet on nutrient consumption, body weight, and body condition score (BCS) lactating dairy goats. This study was located in dairy farmers Kemiri Village, Purwobinangun, Pakem, Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. This study used twelve lactating Ettawa Crossbred in the first to second lactation period, average body weight 45.9+4.9 kg in the age of 2 to 3 years, and BCS from 2.5 to 3.0. Twelve lactating Ettawa Crossbred goat were divided into two groups, which were grouped as control and treatment. Each group consisted of 6 animals as replicates. The goats were fed with forages, concentrates, and undegraded protein pellet. Animals in control group were feed basal diet consisting of feed foraged and concentrate at ration 1:1, while animals in treatment group were fed basal diet with adding 20% of undegraded protein pellet calculated based on the protein source on the diet. The forages consisted of corn stover and calliandra. The concentrate contain with tofu waste, pollard, and Nufeed. The measured variables were chemical composition of feed ingredient, nutrient consumption that consist of dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), crude protein (CP), body weight, and BCS. Obtained data was analyzed by Independent Sampe T-Test analysis. The results showed that consumptions of DM, OM, body weight, and BCS were not significant (P>0.05). The consumption of CP was significant different (P<0.05). The CP consumption between the control and treatment groups were 279.88+29.71 vs. 316.50+20.64 g DM/head/day. The present study concluded that the addition of undegraded protein pellet on lactating dairy goat increase CP consumption.
