Pengaruh Platelet-rich Fibrin pada Perawatan Resesi Gingiva Multipel dengan Teknik Vestibular Incision Subperiosteal Tunnel Access

Perawatan resesi gingiva multipel merupakan bagian dari bedah plastik periodontal. Salah satu perawatannya, yaitu dengan teknik Vestibular Incision Subperiosteal Tunnel Access (VISTA) yang minimal invasif. Untuk memperoleh penutupan akar yang lebih baik, diperlukan suatu perancah, salah satunya Platelet-rich Fibrin (PRF) yang telah digunakan secara luas dan terbukti memberikan manfaat terhadap perawatan resesi gingiva. Narrative review ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh PRF pada perawatan resesi gingiva multipel dengan teknik VISTA. Database yang digunakan untuk mencari literatur yang akan diulas adalah PubMed, Scopus, dan Google Scholar. Kata kunci yang digunakan dalam pencarian literatur adalah Platelet-rich Fibrin, PRF, Vestibular Incision Subperiosteal Tunnel Access, dan VISTA menggunakan Boolean operators (AND dan OR). Literatur yang didapatkan kemudian diseleksi sesuai kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi sehingga didapatkan sebanyak 12 literatur yang digunakan dalam narrative review ini. Dengan keterbatasan dalam studi literatur ini, disimpulkan bahwa kombinasi teknik VISTA dan PRF menunjukkan perbaikan pada parameter periodontal berupa clinical attachment level dan probing depth serta parameter resesi gingiva berupa recession depth dan root coverage.

Treatment of multiple gingival recession is part of periodontal plastic surgery. One of the treatments is the minimally invasive Vestibular Incision Subperiosteal Tunnel Access (VISTA) technique. To obtain better root coverage, a scaffold is needed, one of which is Platelet-rich Fibrin (PRF) which has been used widely and has been shown to provide benefits in the gingival recession treatment. This narrative review was aimed to assess the effect of PRF on the treatment of multiple gingival recession using the VISTA technique. The databases used in the literature search to be reviewed are PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar. The keywords used in the literature search were Platelet-rich Fibrin, PRF, Vestibular Incision Subperiosteal Tunnel Access, and VISTA using Boolean operators (AND and OR). The literature obtained was selected using inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 12 literatures were used in this narrative review. With limitations in this literature study, it can be concluded that the combination of VISTA and PRF techniques showed improvements in periodontal parameters such as clinical attachment level and probing depth and gingival recession parameters such as recession depth and root coverage.
