ANALISIS PENGENDALIAN SAFETY STOCK MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PROBABILISTIK PADA PT XYZ

Persediaan merupakan salah satu kegiatan penting dalam operasional perusahaan. Persediaan dapat menambah fleksibilitas dari kegiatan operasional yang ada di perusahaan. Perusahaan dapat menyediakan safety stock untuk mengantisipasi fluktatifnya permintaan pasar. Safety stock dirancang untuk mengoptimalkan pemasukan, mengantisipasi fluktuasi permintaan pasar dan memfasilitasi jadwal produksi. PT. XYZ yang memproduksi minuman susu menginginkan pengeluaran dan pemasukan yang optimal. Maka dari itu persediaan harus di kelola dengan baik agar perusahaan mendapatkan dampak yang positif dengan mengidentifikasi SKU mana saja yang menjadi fokus untuk Perusahaan dan mentukan safety stock dan reorder point yang dapat menghemat biaya inventaris di Perusahaan. Ada beberapa metode untuk mengelola persediaan. Dalam penelitian ini PT.XYZ memiliki tingkat service level sebesar 98%. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode probabilistik. Metode ini digunakan karena waktu tunggu produksi perusahaan tetap dan jumlah permintaan di pasar fluktuatif. Metode pendukung lainnya dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis ABC. Hasil dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa metode analisis ABC dapat mengelompokan 16 SKU dari 42 SKU keseluruhan. Jumlah safety stock dan reorder point dari 16 SKU yang tertinggi merupakan SKU A12 yaitu sebesar 3.082 dan 46.954. Perhitungan safety stock probabilistik dapat menghemat biaya sebesar Rp. 47.511.390 dalam satu tahun.

Inventory management is one of the important activities in the company's operations. Inventory management can increase the flexibility of existing operational activities in the company. Companies can provide safety stock to anticipate fluctuations in market demand. Safety stock is designed to optimize revenue, anticipate fluctuations in market demand and facilitate production schedules. PT. XYZ, which produces milk drinks, wants optimal output and income. Therefore, inventory must be managed properly so that the company gets a positive impact by identifying which SKUs are the focus for the Company and determining safety stock and reorder points that can save inventory costs in the Company. There are several methods for managing inventory. In this study PT.XYZ has a service level of 98%. The method used in this study is a probabilistic method. This method is used because of the company's fixed production waiting time and the fluctuations of demand in the market. Another supporting method in this research is ABC analysis. The results of this study note that the ABC analysis method can classify 16 SKUs from 42 SKUs overall. The highest number of safety stock and reorder points of the 16 SKUs is SKU A12, which amounts to 3,082 and 46,954 respectively. Calculation of probabilistic safety stock can save costs up to Rp. 47,511,390 in one year.
