Kinerja Induk Kelinci Rex dan New Zealand White yang Dipelihara pada Kondisi yang Sama

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja induk kelinci Rex dan New Zealand White (NZW) yang dipelihara pada kondisi yang sama. Penelitian menggunakan 3 ekor induk dan 1 ekor pejantan Rex serta 3 ekor induk dan 1 ekor pejantan NZW. Induk kelinci dipelihara secara individu. Perkawinan dilakukan dengan cara induk kelinci dimasukkan ke kandang pejantan dan diamati sampai terjadi perkawinan, jika terjadi perkawinan induk dikembalikan ke kandang awal sampai melahirkan dan jika tidak terjadi perkawinan maka dilakukan perkawinan di hari berikutnya. Pemeliharaan dilakukan sampai induk melahirkan kembali. Data yang diambil meliputi lama bunting, litter size, bobot lahir, bobot sapih, interval kelahiran, mortalitas, PPM, IRI, dan IPI. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan One Way Analysis of Variance. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa lama bunting, litter size, bobot lahir, bobot lahir total, bobot sapih, bobot sapih total, interval kelahiran, mortalitas, PPM, IRI, dan IPI berturut-turut masing-masing adalah 31,66+-0,58 dan 31,00+-1,00 hari, 6,00+-2,00 dan 6,00+-1,00 ekor, 42,64+-6,32 dan 27,95+-3,69 g, 249,67+,65,77 dan 195,67+-25,81 g, 400,20+-56,09 dan 430,00+-24,88 g, 1446,33+-563,19 dan 1629.00+-472,85 g, 69,00+-5,00 dan 65,33+-1,15 hari, 0,29+-0,189 dan 0,33+-0,15%, 36,00+-1,73 dan 65,33+-1,15 hari, 22,98+-12,22 dan 22,35+-5,54 ekor/tahun, serta 7,23+-2,56 dan 9,57+-2,29 kg/tahun. Lama bunting, bobot lahir total, bobot sapih, bobot total sapih litter size, mortalitas, interval kelahiran, PPM, IRI, dan IPI kelinci Rex dan NZW berbeda tidak yang nyata. Disimpulkan bahwa perbedaan bangsa antara Rex dan NZW tidak mempengaruhi kinerja induk apabila keduanya dipelihara pada kondisi yang sama.

The aim of this study was to observe the performance of Rex and New Zealand White does which were kept in the same conditions. The study was conducted on 3 Rabbit Rex does and 1 buck, 3 Rabbit NZW does and 1 buck. Animal were raised in the individual cage. Mating was conducted by inserting the doe to the buck cage and waiting for mating. If them matting occured, the does were moved back to their cage. If them mating does not occurred the does were moved back to their cage and place the doe to the buck cage in the next day until were matted. The collected data includes gestation lenght, litter size, birth weight, weaning weight, calving interval, mortality, post partum mating (PPM), does reproductive index (DPI) and does production index (DPI). The data were analyzed by One Way Analysis of Variance. The results showed that gestation period, litter size, birth weight, total of birth weight, weaning weight, total of weaning weight, calving interval, mortality, PPM, IRI and IPI of Rex and NZW does were 31,66+-0,58 and 31,00+-1,00 day, 6,00+-2,00 and 6,00+-1,00 head, 42,64+-6,32 and 27,95+-3,69 g, 249,67+-65,77 and 195,67+-25,81, 400,20+-56,09 and 430,00+-24,88 g, 1446,33+-563,19 and 1629,00+-472,85 g, 69,00+-5,00 and 65,33+-1,15 day, 0,29+-0,189 and 0,33+-0,15%, 36,00+-1,73 and 65,33+-1,15 day, 22,98+-12,22 and 22,35+-5,54 head/year, and 7,23+-2,56 and 9,57+-2,29 kg/year, respectively. There is no significant different gestation length, total of birth weight, weaning weight, total of weaning weight, litter size, mortality, calving interval, PPM, DRI, and DPI between them. It is concluded that the breed difference between Rex and NZW does not affect their reproductive performance if both are raised in the same condition.
