Perbandingan Kadar Vitamin D Antara Wanita Dengan Surgical Menopause Post Kemoterapi Dan Wanita Menopause Alami Di Yogyakarta

Menopause dapat terjadi secara alami maupun karena prosedur medis pengangkatan kedua ovarium. Wanita yang mengalami menopause dini karena surgical menopause akan mengeluhkan gejala menopause yang lebih berat karena perubahan hormon secara mendadak. Pasien dengan surgical menopause akibat kanker seringkali mendapatkan kemoterapi adjuvant yang akan menyebabkan penurunan kadar vitamin D, dimana vitamin D diketahui berperan penting dalam mengurangi keluhan menopause. Tujuan: Mengetahui perbandingan kadar vitamin D pada pasien surgical menopause post kemoterapi dan wanita menopause alami. Metode: Penelitian analitik dengan desain kohort retrospektif untuk membandingkan kadar vitamin D antara 2 kelompok, yaitu kelompok wanita dengan surgical menopause yang sudah dikemoterapi dan wanita post menopause alami. Penilaian kadar vitamin D dilakukan pada satu sampai dua tahun pada kelompok pasca ooforektomi bilateral dan satu sampai dua tahun pasca haid terakhir pada kelompok menopause alami. Perbandingan rerata kadar vitamin D antar 2 kelompok dilakukan dengan uji statistika komparatif menggunakan Independent T-Test. Hasil: Rerata dan standar deviasi kadar vitamin D pada kelompok surgical menopause post kemoterapi adalah 14,07 + 5,49 ng/mL sedangkan kelompok menopause alami adalah 17,30 +-6,92 ng/mL dengan nilai p=0,167. Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada rerata kadar vitamin D antara kelompok surgical menopause post kemoterapi dan post menopause alami.
Background: Menopause is a period of cessation of menstruation due to decreased hormone production in women. Menopause can occur naturally or due to a medical procedure to remove both ovaries. Women who experience early menopause due to surgical menopause will complain of more severe menopausal symptoms due to sudden hormonal changes. Patients with surgical menopause due to cancer often receive adjuvant chemotherapy which will cause a decrease in vitamin D levels, where vitamin D is known to play an important role in reducing menopausal complaints. Objective: This study aims to determine the comparison of vitamin D levels in post-chemotherapy surgical menopause patients and natural menopause women. Methods: Analytical study with retrospective cohort design to compare vitamin D levels between 2 groups, namely a group of women with surgical menopause who had been treated with chemotherapy and women with natural postmenopausal women. Assessment of vitamin D levels was performed at one to two years in the post-bilateral oophorectomy group and one to two years after the last menstrual period in the natural menopause group. Comparison of the mean levels of vitamin D between the 2 groups was carried out by comparative statistical test using the Independent T-Test. Results: The mean and standard deviation of vitamin D levels in the surgical menopause post chemotherapy group was 14.07 + 5.49 ng/mL while the natural menopause group was 17.30 +- 6.92 ng/mL with p value = 0.167. Conclusion: There was no significant difference in the mean vitamin D levels between the surgical menopause post chemotherapy and natural post menopause groups.
