PASTOR TNI, DIANTARA KEYAKINAN RELIGI DAN DOKTRIN TNI DALAM UPAYA TRANSFORMASI SOSIAL

INTISARI Mungkinkah akan ada transformasi sosial dan nilai agama ke dalam fungsional struktural di tubuh TNI ?. Kehadiran seorang Pastor/Romo (Imam) Katolik menjadi prajurit TNI tidaklah menjadi sorotan, hal ini disebabkan karena wilayah institusi TNI yang disegani dan dihormati oleh masyarakat, dan wilayah Gereja Katolik yang kecil juga belum menarik untuk ditilik oleh masyarakat luas yang sebagian besar Islam. Diketahui bahwa ada dua struktur besar yaitu Pastor sebagai agen terhadap struktur Gereja yang selalu berada dalam satu komando dengan tahta suci Vatikan dan peran Pastor sebagai agen dalam struktur TNI, namun penelitian difokuskan kepada relasi Pastor sebagai agen di dalam struktur TNI. Realitasnya di Indonesia hingga akhir tahun 2021 terdapat 2 (dua) orang Pastor yang masuk menjadi prajurit TNI dan mereka disebut sebagai Pastor TNI, dalam konteks penelitian ini, salah satu Pastor TNI yang berpangkat Kolonel di dalam dualitas strukturnya sebagai Pastor yang juga sebagai pejabat Gereja dan sebagai prajurit TNI harus menjalankan tugas itu secara bersamaan dengan visi dan misinya masing-masing. Hal ini sangat menarik diteliti sebagai fenomena sejarah ke Katolik-an dalam lingkungan TNI, terutama berkaitan dengan alasan Gereja menempatkan imamnya masuk langsung di lingkungan TNI dengan menjadi prajurit TNI aktif dan ternyata institusi TNI menempatkan Pastor TNI ini di jabatan umum dalam pembinaan mental ideologi yang sebenarnya bisa dijabat oleh perwira TNI pada umumnya. Penelitian disusun menggunakan teori Strukturasi yang dikembangkan oleh Anthony Giddens sekaligus menguji teori tersebut dalam tema penelitian: "Pastor TNI, diantara keyakinan religi dan doktrin TNI dalam upaya transformasi sosial", penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggali bagaimana Pastor TNI memaknai perannya sebagai pemimpin agama dan sebagai TNI, bagaimana Pastor TNI menjembatani antara keyakinan religi dengan doktrin TNI dan pada sisi yang lain, menggali bagaimana anggota/purnawirawan TNI dan rohaniawan lainnya dalam dalam memaknai posisi Pastor TNI serta apakah ada perbedaan pemaknaan di antara anggota TNI/purnawirawan dengan jenjang pangkat yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang dipadukan dengan life history, dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumentasi data sekunder sebagai cara pengumpulan data, penampilan data dan validasi data serta pengambilan kesimpulan. Secara garis besar yang paling menonjol dalam pembahasan ini adalah dualitas struktur yang dijalani oleh Pastor TNI yang memungkinkan tentang perannya sebagai agen dan agensi serta mempengaruhi kekuasaan. Hasil di lapangan menunjukan tidak terjadi kendala dalam tugas dan peran Pastor TNI tersebut, namun disisi lain uji teori Giddens terbentur dengan adanya doktrin TNI yang sangat kuat, dualitas struktur tidak serta merta mampu dimanfaatkan untuk membuat transformasi sosial kedalam doktrin TNI, tapi memungkinkan terjadinya transformasi sosial di bidang non doktrin TNI.

ABSTRACT Is it possible that there will be a transformation of social and religious values into structural functions within the TNI ?. The presence of a Catholic Pastor/Father (Imam) as a TNI soldier in not in the spotlight, this is because the TNI institutional area is respected and respected by the community, and the small area of the Catholic Church is also not attrative to the wider community, who are mostly muslim. It is known that there are two major structures, namely the Pastor as an agent of the Church structure who is always in one command with the Vatican's holy throne and the role of the Pastor as an agent in the TNI structure, but the research is focused on the Pastor's relationship as an agent within the TNI structure. The reality is that in Indonesia until the end of 2021 there are 2 (two) Pastors who become TNI soldiers and they are referred to as TNI Pastors, in the context of this research, one of the TNI Pastors has the rank of Colonel in the duality of his structure as Pastor who is also a Church official and as TNI soldiers, the must carry out these duties simultaneously with their respective visions and misions. This is very interesting to study as a historical Catholic phenomenon within the TNI, especially with regard to the reason the Church places its priests directly in the TNI environment by becoming an active TNI soldier and it turns out that the TNI institution place this TNI Pastor in a general position in fostering the mental ideology that can actually be held by TNI officers in general. The study was structured using the structural theory developed by Anthony Giddens and at the same time tasted the theory in the research theme: "TNI Pastor, between religious beliefs and TNI doctrine in social transformation efforts", this research was conducted by exploring how TNI Pastors interpret their roles as religious leaders and as TNI, how the TNI Pastor bridges between religious beliefs and TNI doctrine and on the other hand, explores how TNI members/retirees and other elergy in interpreting the position of TNI Pastor and whether there are differences in meaning among TNI/Retired members of different ranks. The study uses a qualitative descriptive method combined with life history, with observation, in-depth interviews and secondary data documentation studies as a way of collecting data. Data analysis was carried out simultaneously with the data collection process, data display and data validation and conclusion drawing. Broadly speaking, what is most prominent in this discussion is the duality of the structure undertaken by the TNI Pastor, which allows for his role as an agent and agency as well as influencing power. The results in the field show that there are no obstacles in the duties and roles of the TNI Pastor, but on the other hand, Giddens theoretical test is collided with the existence of a very strong TNI doctrine, the duality of the structure is not neccessarily able to be used to make social transformation into the TNI doctrine, but allows transformation to occur social affairs in the non-doctinal filed of the TNI.
