Pengaruh Upah Minimum Terhadap Konsumsi Makanan dan Non Makanan di Indonesia

Penulis mengangkat topik mengenai pengaruh upah minimum untuk negara berkembang, secara khusus Indonesia. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis ingin melihat pengaruh upah minimum terhadap konsumsi makanan dan non makanan dalam level provinsi. Data yang digunakan adalah data panel dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) dari tahun 2010-2019 dengan observasi 33 Provinsi Indonesia kecuali Provinsi Kalimantan Utara. Untuk melihat pengaruhnya kami menggunakan metode estimasi fixed effect, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa untuk setiap kenaikan poin persentase dalam minimum wage maka konsumsi makanan dan non makanan juga meningkat sebesar 0.452%. Selanjutnya penulis juga mengestimasi pengaruh upah minimum terhadap pengeluaran perkapita provinsi Indonesia yang ditemukan bahwa adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan upah minimum terhadap pengeluaran perkapita.

The author raises the topic of the effect of the minimum wage for developing countries, specifically Indonesia. In this study, the authors want to see the effect of the minimum wage on food and non-food consumption at the provincial level. The data used is panel data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) from 2010-2019 with observations from 33 Indonesian provinces except North Kalimantan Province. Moreover, we use the fixed effect estimation method. The results show that for every percentage point increase in the minimum wage, food and non-food consumption also increases by 0.452%. Furthermore, the authors also estimate the effect of the minimum wage on per capita expenditure of the Indonesian provinces. We found a positive and significant effect of the minimum wage on the per capita expenditure.
