Hubungan antara Dukungan Sosial dengan Kualitas Hidup Orang dengan HIV (ODHIV) di Yayasan Victory Plus Yogyakarta Tahun 2021

Latar Belakang: ODHIV tidak hanya dihadapkan pada permasalahan secara fisiologis akibat infeksi HIV, tetapi juga secara psikologis akibat stigma dan diskriminasi. Kompleksnya permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh ODHIV berimbas pada penurunan kualitas hidup ODHIV. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan kualitas hidup orang dengan HIV (ODHIV) di Yayasan Victory Plus Yogyakarta. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Pengumpulan data menggunakan dua kuesioner yaitu, kuesioner Social Provisions Scale (SPS) untuk mengetahui dukungan sosial berdasarkan enam domain yang dibagi menjadi empat kategori berdasarkan kuartil, dan kuesioner WHOQOL-HIV BREF untuk mengetahui kualitas hidup ODHIV. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode convenience sampling, dengan jumlah responden terdiri dari 279 ODHIV. Analisis data menggunakan one-way anova untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan antar variabel. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial dengan domain fisik (p=0,002), domain psikologis (p=<0,001), domain hubungan sosial (p=0,001), domain fisiologis/kemandirian (p=<0,001), domain lingkungan (p=<0,001), dan total kualitas hidup (p=<0,001), sedangkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan domain spiritual (p=0,322) pada ODHIV di Yayasan Victory Plus Yogyakarta tahun 2021. Kesimpulan: Semakin tinggi dukungan sosial yang diterima oleh ODHIV maka semakin tinggi kualitas hidup ODHIV. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar Yayasan Victory Plus Yogyakarta dapat memberikan sosialiasi bagi keluarga, masyarakat, dan rekan kerja ODHIV terkait penyakit HIV, pencegahan stigma, dan pentingnya dukungan sosial bagi ODHIV untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup ODHIV.

Background: People living with HIV are not only faced with physiological problems due to HIV infection, but also psychologically due to stigma and discrimination. The complexity of the problems faced by people living with HIV has an impact on the quality of life for people living with HIV. This study aims to examine the relationship between social support and the quality of life of people living with HIV (PLHIV) at the Victory Plus Foundation Yogyakarta. Methods: This study used a quantitative research type with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected using two questionnaires, namely the Social Provisions Scale (SPS) questionnaire to determine social support based on six domains divided into four categories based on quartiles, and the WHOQOL-HIV BREF questionnaire to determine the quality of life of people living with HIV. This study used a convenience sampling method, with the number of respondents consisting of 279 people living with HIV. Data analysis using one-way anova to determine the relationship of support between variables. Results: The study showed that there was a significant relationship between social support and physical domain (p=0.002), psychological domain (p=<0.001), social relationship domain (p=<0.001), physiological/independence domain (p=<0.001), environmental domain (p=<0.001), and total quality of life (p=<0.001), while there is no relationship between social support and spiritual domain (p=0.322) in people living with HIV at the Victory Plus Foundation Yogyakarta in 2021. Conclusion: The higher the social support received by people living with HIV, the higher the quality of life for PLHIV. This study suggests that Victory Plus Foundation Yogyakarta can provide socialization for families, communities, and co-workers with HIV related to HIV disease, prevention of stigma, and the importance of social support for PLHIV to improve the quality of life of PLHIV.
