Kompleks Bangunan Hoogere Kweekschool Magelang: Tinjauan Analisis Gaya Arsitektural Tahun 1918-Hingga Kini

Kompleks Bangunan Hoogere Kweekschool merupakan salah satu sekolah di Magelang yang didirikan di masa kolonial, tepatnya di tahun 1918. Dahulu sekolah ini didirikan dengan tujuan untuk mencetak calon-calon guru. Saat ini gedung-gedung yang berada di Kompleks Bangunan Hoogere Kweekschool telah beralih fungsi menjadi beberapa instansi. Skripsi ini membahas tentang Kompleks Bangunan Hoogere Kweekschool Magelang yang ditinjau dari segi arsitektur dan arkeologi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini berupaya mengungkapkan bagaimana bentuk arsitektural gedung-gedung yang ada pada Kompleks Bangunan Hoogere Kweekschool Magelang dan perubahanperubahan yang terjadi pada Kompleks Bangunan Hoogere Kweekschool sejak didirikan pada tahun 1918 hingga saat ini. Walaupun tidak sedikit mengalami perubahan fungsi, namun hampir keseluruhan bangunan masih tetap menggunakan atau mempertahankan bentuk asli bangunan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif bersifat deskriptif analitis. Hasil dari analisis menunjukkan bahwa Kompleks Bangunan Hoogere Kweekschool mengadopsi gaya arsitektur Indische Empire Style yang mendapat pengaruh arsitektur Eropa, sedangkan dari segi fungsinya, Kompleks Bangunan Hoogere Kweekschool mengalami perubahan dan perkembangan seiring dengan perkembangan masa saat ini.

The Hoogere Kweekschool Building Complex was one of the school in Magelang which was established in the colonial era, in 1918. This school was established with the aim of producing prospective teachers. Currently, the buildings in The Magelang Hoogere Kweekschool Bulding Complex have been converted into several institutions. This undergraduate thesis discusses about Magelang Hoogere Kweekschool building complex in terms of architecture and archaeology. The purpose of this study seeks to express how architectural forms The Magelang Hoogere Kweekschool building complex and the changes that occurred in The Magelang Hoogere Kweekschool building complex since its inception in 1918 to the present. Although there have been many changes in function, almost the entire building still uses or maintains the original form of the building. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative research method. The results of the analysis shows that the Hoogere Kweekschool Building Complex adopts an Indische Empire Style architectural style which is influenced by European architecture. Based on its function, The Magelang Hoogere Kweekschool Building Complex has changed and developed according to current developments.
