Penelitian ini membahas mengenai keintiman yang terdapat dalam hubungan sesama perempuan dalam film La Vie d'Adele dan proses/tahapan pembentukan hubungan homoseksual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengekspos gambaran intimasi dan menguraikan jenis-jenis intimasi yang terdapat dalam suatu hubungan sesama perempuan, serta menggambarkan bagaimana tahapan terciptanya suatu hubungan sesama jenis dalam konteks ini hubungan lesbian. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teori mengenai jenis-jenis keintiman untuk menganalisis tipe-tipe intimasi berdasarkan karakteristik, teori proses terbentuknya hubungan sesama jenis untuk menganalisis tahapan yang membuat individu menjadi homoseksual. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis adalah memahami seluruh cerita film La Vie d'Adele, kemudian menganalisis dialog, monolog, dan adegan-adegan dari film yang sesuai dengan konsep teori yang digunakan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tipe keintiman dalam suatu hubungan homoseksual tidak berbeda dengan keintiman hubungan heteroseksual. Umumnya, proses yang terjadi dalam penemuan jati diri berlangsung sejak remaja, termasuk mengenai orientasi seksual. Tahapan yang terjadi dalam pembentukan hubungan sesama jenis melalui beberapa tahapan yang terbentuk secara tidak teratur.

This research discusses about the intimate in relation of the lesbian of the film "La Vie d'Adele" and the process/steps of the relation homosexual. The purpose of the study is to expose the image of intimacy and explain the type of intimacy in relation homosexual (lesbian), then explain how steps of create the relation homosexual (lesbian). The theories used are the theory of Types of the intimacy for analysis of the type of the intimacy based on characters, the theory of process to create the relation homosexual for analysis the steps of individuals becoming homosexual. The method used in the research is understand the whole story of the film La Vie d'Adele, then analyze the dialogues, monologues, and scenes from the film that are in accordance with the concepts of the theory used. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that the type of intimacy in homosexual relationship is not different from the intimacy of a heterosexual relationship. In general, the process that occurs in self-discovery takes place since adolescence, including regarding sexual orientation. The stages that occur in the formation of same-sex relationship through several stages that are formed irregularly.
