Down Syndrome merupakan kelainan genetik pada kromosom 21 yang terjadi pada masa pertumbuhan janin. Rentang usia 13-14 tahun merupakan periode gigi permanen. Gigi permanen anak Down Syndrome cenderung mengalami keterlambatan erupsi. Gigi dan proporsi tinggi wajah memiliki hubungan timbal balik, jika terjadi gangguan pada perkembangan dan pertumbuhan gigi maka akan mempengaruhi bentuk proporsi wajah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran proporsi tinggi wajah atas dan tinggi wajah bawah pada anak Down Syndrome rentang usia 13-14 tahun. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif yang melibatkan 14 subjek anak Down Syndrome rentang usia 13-14 tahunyang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SLB Negeri 1 Bantul, SLB-C Dharma Rena Ring Putra II, SLB YKK Pacitan dan dirumah anggota POTADS Yogyakarta. Pengukuran tinggi wajah dilakukan secara langsung menggunakan jangka sorong. Pengukuran tinggi wajah atas dimulai dari Nasion sampai Subnasal serta tinggi wajah bawah diukur dari Subnasal sampai ke Gnathion. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dihitung secara deskriptif menggunakan aplikasi SPSS.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan anak Down Syndrome laki-laki rentang usia 13-14 tahun memiliki rerata proporsi tinggi wajah atas sebesar 47.57% ± 2.73 dan rerata proporsi tinggi wajah bawah sebesar 52.84% ± 2.50 sedangkan anak Down Syndrome perempuan rentang usia 13-14 tahun memiliki rerata proporsi tinggi wajah atas sebesar 47.27% ± 2.26 dan rerata proporsi tinggi wajah bawah sebesar 52.71% ± 2.26. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa anak Down Syndrome laki-laki rentang usia 13-14 tahun memiliki rerata proporsi tinggi wajah atas dan bawah hampir sama dengan anak perempuan. Pada anak laki-laki proporsi tinggi wajah atas sebesar 47.57% dan proporsi tinggi wajah bawah sebesar 52.84%,sedangkan pada anak perempuan proporsi tinggi wajah atas sebesar 47.27% dan proporsi tinggi wajah bawah sebesar 52.71%. Down Syndrome is a genetic disorder on chromosome 21 that occurs during fetal growth. The age range of 13-14 years is the period of permanent teeth. The Permanent teeth of children with Down Syndrome tend to have a delayed eruption. Teeth and the proportion of facial height have a reciprocal relationship, if there is a disturbance in the development and growth of teeth it will affect the shape of the proportion of the face. This study aims to determine the proportion of upper and lower facial height in children with Down Syndrome age range 13-14 years.The research is descriptive by involving 14 subjects with Down Syndrome children aged 13-14 years who meet the inclusion criteria. The research was carried out at SLB Negeri 1 Bantul, SLB-C Dharma Rena Ring Putra II dan SLB YKK Pacitan and at the homes of POTADS members in Yogyakarta. Measurement of facial height is carried out directly using a caliper. Uper face height measurement starts from te Nassion to Subnasale and the lower face height is measured from Subnasale to Gnathion. The data obtain were then calculated descriptively using the SPSS application. The results showed that boys with Down Syndrome aged 13-14 years had average upper facial height proportion of 47.57% ± 2.73 and average lower facial height proportion of 52.84% ± 2.50 while girls with Down Syndrome aged 13-14 years had an average the proportion of upper face height is 47.27% ± 2.26 and the average proportion of lower face height is 52.71% ± 2.26. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that boys with Down Syndrome aged 13-14 years have an average upper and lower facial height proportion that is almost the same as girls. In boys the proportion of upper facial height is 47.57% and the proportion of lower facial height is f 52.84%, while for girls the proportion of upper facial height is 47.27% and the proportion of lower facial height is 52.71%.
