DETERMINASI PERAN KELUARGA DALAM MEMBANTU PENGASUHAN PASIEN PENYAKIT PARKINSON PADA AKTIVITAS KESEHARIANNYA

Pengasuhan pasien penyakit Parkinson tidak dapat dipisahkan dari adanya keterlibatan keluarga. Pengasuhan pasien penyakit Parkinson dalam tiap keluarga dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor predisposisi, sehingga belum adanya keseragaman dalam pola pengasuhan. Meski demikian, model pengasuhan pasien penyakit Parkinson di Indonesia dan permasalahannya belum diteliti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran keluarga atau pengasuh dalam membantu aktivitas keseharian serta menentukan determinan atau faktor-faktor penyulit selama pengasuhan pada pasien penyakit Parkinson di rumah. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif. Sampel penelitian dipilih secara purposive sampling dari pengasuh sehari-hari (baik keluarga maupun dari luar keluarga) pasien penyakit Parkinson yang kontrol di Poli Saraf RSUP Dr Sardjito pada tahun 2020. Pengambilan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam. Tema yang didapat terkait faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi peran keluarga dalam membantu pengasuhan pasien penyakit Parkinson pada aktivitas kesehariannya adalah: kondisi pasien penyakit Parkinson di rumah, beban pengasuhan, pemahaman keluarga atau pengasuh mengenai penyakit Parkinson, serta kesulitan pengasuhan yang ditemui dalam keseharian pada saat merawat pasien penyakit Parkinson. Menurut narasumber keluarga beranggapan merawat pasien penyakit Parkinson merupakan suatu kewajiban serta harus mampu menerima ditunjukkan dengan kasih sayang pengasuh terhadap pasien selama perawatan di rumah cukup baik. Faktor-faktor penyulit selama pengasuhan pada pasien penyakit Parkinson di rumah bagi pengasuh dengan lama mengasuh 24 jam, adalah menyiapkan pakaian, makanan, obat, dan mandi. Peran keluarga dalam membantu perawatan pasien penyakit Parkinson di rumah membuat pasien lebih mandiri dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. Hasil penelitian ini merupakan faktor-faktor determinan penting dalam membantu pengasuhan aktivitas keseharian pasien penyakit Parkinson di rumah.

Caring for Parkinson's disease patients cannot be separated from the involvement of the family. Caring for Parkinson's disease patients in each family is influenced by various predisposing factors, so there is no uniformity in caring patterns. However, the model of caring for Parkinson's disease patients in Indonesia and its problems have not been studied. This study aims to determine the role of the family or caregiver in assisting daily activities and to determine the determinants or complicated factors during the care of Parkinson's disease patients at home. This study uses a qualitative research design. The research sample was selected by purposive sampling from the daily caregivers (family and outside the family) of controlled Parkinson's disease patients at the Neurology Clinic of Dr Sardjito Hospital in 2020. Data were collected using in-depth interviews. The themes obtained related to the factors that influence the role of the family in assisting the care of Parkinson's disease patients in their daily activities are: the condition of the Parkinson's disease patient at home, the burden of care, understanding of the family or caregiver about Parkinson's disease, as well as caring difficulties encountered in daily life when caring for Parkinson's disease patients. According to respondent sources, caring for Parkinson's disease patients is an obligation and must be able to accept being shown by the caregiver's affection for the patient as long as the care at home is good enough. Complicated factors during care for Parkinson's disease patients at home for caregivers with 24 hours of care are preparing clothes, food, medicine, and bathing. The role of the family in helping the treatment of Parkinson's disease patients at home makes the patient more independent in daily activities. The results of this study are important determinant factors in helping to care for the daily activities of Parkinson's disease patients at home.
