Kinerja Induk Kambing Bligon dengan Suplementasi Mineral Block

2022 | Skripsi | S1 ILMU DAN INDUSTRI PETERNAKANPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja induk kambing Bligon dengan penambahan mineral block pada pakan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kandang Ternak Potong, Kerja dan Kesayangan, Unit Pelaksana Teknis Terpadu, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Penelitian menggunakan 17 ekor induk kambing Bligon dengan kriteria telah memasuki kebuntingan akhir. Induk kambing Bligon dikelompokkan ke dalam 2 kelompok perlakuan, yaitu 8 ekor induk dengan penambahan mineral block dan 9 induk sebagai kontrol. Induk bunting diamati dan data yang diambil meliputi konsumsi pakan, konsumsi mineral block, dan kinerja induk yang meliputi litter size, bobot lahir, mortalitas prasapih, bobot sapih, post partum estrus (PPE), post partum mating (PPM), perubahan bobot badan harian (PBBH) induk, konsumsi susu anak, dan perubahan bobot badan harian (PBBH) anak. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi BK, PK, dan TDN pada induk perlakuan dan kontrol berturut-turut sebesar 55,17±5,40 dan 57,31±6,59 (g/kg BBM); 4,32±0,37 dan 4,48±0,48 (g/kg BBM); 31,11±2,97 dan 32,29±3,71 (g/kg BBM). Terdapat perbedaan tidak signifikan pada konsumsi BK, PK, dan TDN antara induk perlakuan dan kontrol. Konsumsi mineral block pada induk perlakuan sebesar 4,18±1,1 g/hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan litter size, bobot lahir cempe, mortalitas prasapih, bobot sapih, PPE, PPM, PBBH induk, konsumsi susu cempe, dan PBBH cempe dari induk perlakuan dan kontrol berturut-turut sebesar 1,37±0,51 ekor dan 1,22±0,44 ekor; 2,61±0,42 kg dan 2,80±0,88 kg; 0 % dan 0 %; 9,64±1,91 kg dan 9,44±3,21 kg; 55,75±2,91 hari dan 60,44±9,26 hari; 68,87±2,90 hari dan 73,55±9,27 hari; -0,07±0,08 kg dan -0,07±0,08 kg; 0,67±0,11 kg dan 0,63±0,15 kg; 0,14±0,03 kg dan 0,12±0,04 kg. Terdapat perbedaan tidak signifikan pada litter size, bobot lahir cempe, mortalitas prasapih, bobot sapih, PPE, PPM, PBBH induk, konsumsi susu cempe, dan PBBH cempe. Disimpulkan bahwa penambahan mineral block pada induk kambing Bligon tidak berpengaruh pada kinerja induk.
This research was aimed to observe the reproduction performances of Bligon does with mineral blocks supplementation. This research was carried out at Technical Implementation Unit, Laboratory of Meat, Draught, and Companion Animals, Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The study used 17 Bligon does which approximately in the 5th month of pregnancy. Bligon Does were grouped into 2 (8 animals were in treatement and 9 animals were in in the control group). Bligon Does were observed and the collected data included feed consumption, mineral block consumption, and reproduction performance, including litter size, kid birth weight, pre-weaning mortality, weaning weight, post-partum estrus (PPE), and post-partum mating (PPM), Does average daily gain (ADG), milk consumption, and kids average daily gain (ADG). The data obtained were then analyzed using Independent Sample T-Test. The results showed that the consumption of DM, CP, and TDN in the treatment group and control groups was 55.17±5.40 and 57.31±6.59 (g/kg MBW); 4.32±0.37 and 4.48±0.48 (g/kg MBW); 31.11±2.97 and 32.29±3.71 (g/kg MBW). There was no significant difference in the consumption of DM, CP, and TDN between the treatment and control. Consumption of mineral blocks in the treatment group was 4.18±1.1 g/day. The results showed that litter size, kid birth weight, pre-weaning mortality, weaning weight, PPE, PPM, Does ADG, milk consumption of kid, and kid ADG from treatment and control were 1.37±0.51 kid and 1,22±0.44 kid; 2.61±0.42 kg and 2.80±0.88 kg; 0% and 0%; 9.64±1.91 kg and 9.44±3.21 kg; 55.75±2.91 days and 60.44±9.26 days; 68.87±2.90 days and 73.55±9.27 days; -0.07±0.08 kg and -0.07±0.08 kg; 0.67±0.11 kg and 0.63±0.15 kg; 0.14±0.03 kg and 0.12±0.04 kg. There were no significant differences between treatment and control groups. It was concluded that the addition of mineral blocks to the Bligon Does feed had no effect on their reproduction performance.
