Background: Covid-19 is a problem we are currently facing. Hospitals as the front line of health services must be alert so that health workers become a high-risk group for Covid-19 infection. Hospitals are required to maintain medical records as well as infection prevention and control. Prevention and Control of Covid-19 Infections at RSUD Kota Madiun include maintenance of medical records and infection control precautions. Maintenance of medical records is not done by the PORMIKI Circular and SOPs. In addition, there are no guidelines that are used as guidelines for the implementation of infection prevention and control. Destination: Analyzing the implementation and designing a guidebook for the Prevention and Control of Covid-19 Infections in the Medical Record Work Unit. Method: Qualitative research methods with case studies. The research was conducted at RSUD Kota Madiun in May 2022. The research subjects included the main informants, namely registration officers, data processors, and filing and triangulation, namely the head of the medical record work unit. The object of research is the Prevention and Control of Covid-19 Infections. Collecting data using interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Results: Maintenance of medical records during the Covid-19 period was carried out by separating Covid-19 and non-covid-19 files, not being placed in a special place, while infection control prevention measures had been carried out but were not maximized because most of the filing officers had not implemented them. The manual was created as a guideline for preventing the control of Covid-19 infection. Conclusion: The prevention and control of Covid-19 infection in the Medical Record Work Unit has been carried out by the medical record officer, although it is not yet 100%. Efforts to prevent and control Covid-19 infection must be implemented by all officers to prevent infection in the Medical Record Work Unit.
