Pengaruh Jarak Baris Tanam dan Takaran Urea terhadap Pertumbuhan Rumput Manila (Zoysia matrella (L.) Merr

Bibit rumput dibutuhkan untuk berbagai pengembangan lanskap, diantaranya pembangunan dan pemeliharaan lapangan sepakbola. Permasalahan rumput manila (Zoysia matrella (L.) Merr) saat ini adalah peningkatan permintaan bibit rumput dan lambatnya pertumbuhan bibit rumput. Jarak baris tanam dan takaran urea serta kombinasi keduanya dapat berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan rumput. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan rumput manila (Zoysia matrella (L.) Merr) dengan perbedaan jarak baris tanam dan takaran urea. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Maret hingga Agustus 2021. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak kelompok lengkap (RAKL) dengan perlakuan jarak baris tanam sebesar 10 dan 7 cm dan takaran urea sebesar 14, 28, dan 42 g/m2. Variabel pengamatan berupa tinggi tanaman, kepadatan tunas, warna daun, lebar daun, dan penutupan tanah, dan bobot tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tinggi tanaman, kepadatan tunas, lebar daun, penutupan tanah, dan bobot tanaman tertinggi pada jarak baris tanam 7 cm dengan takaran urea 28 g/m2. Warna daun tertinggi pada jarak baris tanam 10 cm dengan takaran urea 28 g/m2. Jarak baris tanam berpengaruh terhadap penutupan tanah dan bobot akar. Takaran urea berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman, kepadatan tunas, warna daun, lebar daun, penutupan tanah, dan bobot tajuk.

Turfgrass seeds are needed to develop many landscape projects, such as development and maintenance of football field. The problems of manila grass (Zoysia matrella (L.) Merr) now are increased demand for turfgrass seeds and slow growth of turfgrass. Line spacing and urea rate and the combination of both affected on grass growth. The aim of the study was to known the manila grass (Zoysia matrella (L.) Merr) growth with difference of line spacing and urea rates. The study was held from March to August 2021. The study design used was randomized complete block design (RCBD) with treatments of line spacing was 10 and 7 cm and urea rates were 14, 28, and 42 g/m2. Observation variables were plant height, shoot density, leaf color, leaf width, and soil cover, and plant weight. The study showed plant height, shoot density, leaf width, soil cover, and plant weight that highest results on line spacing of 7 cm with urea rate of 28 g/m2. Leaf color that highest result on line spacing of 10 cm with urea rate of 28 g/m2. Line spacing affected on soil cover and root weight. Urea rate affected on plant height, shoot density, leaf color, leaf width, soil cover, and crown weight.
