Pengaruh Ekspansi Finansial Terhadap Inovasi: Analisis Lintas Negara

Dalam beberapa dekade terakhir ekspansi finansial telah menghasilkan dampak yang positif dan negatif bagi perekonomian di berbagai negara. Hal ini memunculkan pertanyaan apakah ekspansi finansial dapat meningkatkan inovasi dari banyak negara yang mana merupakan faktor penting dalam menciptakan pertumbuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekspansi finansial terhadap inovasi di seluruh dunia menggunakan data makro longitudinal World Bank Financial Sector dan World Intellectual Property Organization. Estimasi menggunakan Two-Step System General Method of Moment menunjukkan bahwa ekpansi finansial berpengaruh non-linier berbentuk U terbalik terhadap inovasi negara di seluruh dunia. Hal ini juga berlaku untuk ukuran ekspansi finansial dan inovasi yang berbeda. Kerangka teori dan pemilihan metode didiskusikan dalam penelitian ini

In recent decades financial development has showed both positive and negative effects on the economies of many countries. This raises the question of whether financial development can increase the innovation of many countries which is an important factor in creating growth. This study aims to determine the effect of financial development on innovation in countries around the world using longitudinal macro data from the World Bank Financial Sector and the World Intellectual Property Organization. Estimates using the Two-Step System General Method of Moment show that financial development has an inverse U-shaped non-llinear effect on country innovation around the world. This also applies to different measures of financial development and innovation. Theoretical framework and selection of research methods discussed in this study.
