Perbandingan Sifat Kualitatif pada G0 dan G1 Ayam Kampung Unggul Balitbangtan (KUB)

Sifat kualitatif merupakan sifat yang menunjukkan karakteristik penampakan eksterior dari suatu individu. Sifat ini menjadi salah satu kriteria seleksi untuk mendapatkan suatu ternak yang unggul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan keragaman sifat kualitatif ayam kampung unggul balitbangtan (KUB) pada generasi awal (G0) dan generasi 1 (G1) berdasarkan warna bulu yang dihasilkan. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data 50 ekor ayam KUB G0 terseleksi dan 50 ekor ayam KUB G1. Ayam KUB G1 yang sudah terseleksi dikelompokkan berdasarkan pada sifat kualitatif warna bulunya yaitu abu-abu (AA), hitam putih (HP), coklat merah (CM), hitam (H), dan hitam coklat (HC) dengan masing-masing 10 ekor. Karakteristik sifat kualitatif yang diamati meliputi warna mata, warna bulu leher, warna paruh, warna bulu mahkota (bagian kepala), warna bulu dada, warna bulu perut, warna bulu punggung, warna bulu ekor, warna bulu sayap primer dan sekunder, warna bulu paha, warna shank, dan warna selaput shank. Proses pengambilan sampel ayam KUB G0 dan G1 dilakukan dengan metode random sampling selanjutnya data sifat kualitatif pada kedua generasi tersebut dilakukan analisis secara deskriptif dan ditunjukkan dengan persentase. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ayam KUB G1 pada bagian kepala memiliki persebaran fenotipe lebih bervariasi dibandingkan ayam KUB G0, kecuali kelompok warna HP G1 lebih seragam (80%) dibandingkan HP G0 (60%). Bagian badan ayam KUB G1 menunjukkan persebaran fenotipe lebih bervariasi dibandingkan ayam KUB G0, kecuali HP G1 dan H G1 lebih seragam (80%) dibandingkan HP G0 dan H G0. Bagian ekor ayam KUB G1 menunjukkan persebaran fenotipe lebih bervariasi dibandingkan ayam KUB G0, kecuali H G1 lebih seragam (80%) dibandingkan H G0. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sifat kualitatif ayam KUB G1 pada bagian kepala, badan, dan ekor menunjukkan tingkat dominasi keberagaman lebih tinggi dibandingkan ayam KUB G0.

Qualitative properties are traits that indicate the characteristics of the exterior appearance of an individual. This trait is one of the selection criteria to get a superior animal. This study aims to determine the comparison of the diversity of qualitative characteristics of the superior village chickens of Balitbangtan (KUB) in the early generation (G0) and generation 1 (G1) based on the color of the feathers produced. The material used in this study was data on 50 selected KUB G0 chickens and 50 KUB G1 chickens. KUB G1 chickens that have been selected are grouped based on the qualitative nature of their feather color, namely gray (AA), black and white (HP), red brown (CM), black (H), and black brown (HC) with 10 birds. The qualitative characteristics observed included eye color, neck feather color, beak color, crown feather color (head), chest hair color, belly hair color, back feather color, tail feather color, primary and secondary wing feather color, thigh feather color, shank color, and shank membrane color. The sampling process of KUB G0 and G1 chickens was carried out by random sampling method, then qualitative data on both generations were analyzed descriptively and indicated by percentages. The results of the analysis showed that KUB G1 chickens on the head had a more varied phenotypic distribution than KUB G0 chickens, except that the HP G1 color group was more uniform (80%) than HP G0 (60%). The body parts of KUB G1 chickens showed more varied phenotypic distribution than KUB G0 chickens, except that HP G1 and H G1 were more uniform (80%) than HP G0 and H G0. The tail of KUB G1 chickens showed a more varied phenotypic distribution than KUB G0 chickens, except that H G1 was more uniform (80%) than H G0. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the qualitative characteristics of KUB G1 chickens on the head, body, and tail showed a higher level of diversity dominance than KUB G0 chickens.
