TINGKAT KEJADIAN PENYAKIT BAKTERIAL DAN PARASITIK PADA BABI SELAMA TAHUN 2018 - 2019 DI DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTA

Babi merupakan salah satu hewan ternak yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan protein hewani dengan menghasilkan daging. Penyebab penyakit pada babi dapat disebabkan oleh bakteri dan parasit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kejadian kasus penyakit bakterial dan parasitik pada babi di wilayah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta berdasarkan kasus nekropsi di Departemen Patologi Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Gadjah Mada. Metode yang digunakan berupa data sekunder dari catatan kasus penyakit babi yang dinekropsi di Laboratorium Patologi Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Gadjah Mada. Data dikelompokkan berdasarkan penyebab penyakit antara lain bakteri dan parasit serta berdasarkan kelompok umur. Berdasarkan analisis data kasus penyakit pada babi sebanyak 42 ekor didapatkan kejadian kasus penyakit pada babi di Laboratorium Patologi Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Gadjah Mada pada tahun 2018 - 2019 sebanyak 76 kasus. Sebanyak 67% (51 kasus) dari total pemeriksaan babi yang mengalami infeksi bakteri dan diikuti dengan 33% (25 kasus) babi mengalami infeksi parasitik. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh yaitu tingkat kejadian penyakit pada babi di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta didominasi oleh bakteri Pasteurella multocida sebanyak 25% dan sebesar 69% kelompok umur 0-3 bulan rentan terhadap infeksi berbagai agen penyakit.

Pigs are one of the livestock that can meet the needs of animal protein by producing meat. The cause of disease in pigs can be caused by bakteria and parasits. This study aims to determine the incidence of bakterial and parasitik diseases in pigs in the Special Region of Yogyakarta based on necropsy cases at the Pathology Department, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Gadjah Mada University. The method used is secondary data from necropsied pig disease case records at the Pathology Laboratory of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Gadjah Mada University. The data is based on the cause of the disease, including bakteria and parasits as well as by age group. Based on the analysis of case data in 42 pigs, it was found that there were 76 cases of disease in pigs at the Pathology Laboratory of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Gadjah Mada University in 2018 - 2019. A total of 67% (51 cases) of the total examinations of infants who had bakterial infections and followed by 33% (25 cases) of infants had parasitik infections. The conclusion obtained is that the incidence of disease in pigs in the Special Region of Yogyakarta is dominated by the Pasteurella multocida bakteria as much as 25% and 69% of the 0-3 month age group susceptible to infection with various disease agents.
