STUDI KASUS ALIH KODE DAN CAMPUR KODE OLEH CHIKA DI DALAM VLOG CHANNEL BILINGIRL CHIKA

Penelitian ini mengulas mengenai peristiwa alih kode dan campur kode yang dilakukan oleh seorang YouTuber bilingual bernama Chika Yoshida, pemilik channel YouTube Bairingaaru Eikaiwa Bilingirl Chika. Data dalam penelitian ini diambil dari sebuah episode video blog channel YouTube Bairingaaru Eikaiwa Bilingirl Chika yang berjudul Eigo de chuumon! Honba no sheiku shakku de ura menyuu o tanonde miru. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud alih kode dan campur kode yang dilakukan oleh Chika dalam episode vlog tersebut, sekaligus juga mengidentifikasi penyebab dilakukannya alih kode dan campur kode. Data diambil menggunakan metode observasi dan berupa transkrip percakapan yang mengandung peristiwa alih kode dan campur kode oleh Chika. Sementara itu, penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif, yakni dengan mengamati peristiwa alih kode dan campur kode yang terjadi, menganalisis, serta mendeskripsikan wujud dan penyebabnya secara mendalam. Teori yang digunakan sebagai panduan menganalisis data yang telah ditemukan adalah teori Hoffman (1991) dan Suwito (1983) untuk alih kode, serta Suwito (1983) dan Kridalaksana (2008) untuk campur kode. Hasil analisis penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alih kode yang kerap dilakukan oleh Bilingirl Chika dalam vlog Eigo de chuumon! Honba no sheiku shakku de ura menyuu o tanonde miru adalah alih kode antar kalimat (intersentential code switching) dan intra kalimat (intrasentential code switching). Faktor penyebab terjadinya alih kode adalah faktor penutur, yakni Chika sendiri, dan lawan tutur, yakni lawan bicara Chika dalam vlog Eigo de chuumon! Honba no sheiku shakku de ura menyuu o tanonde miru yakni Daichi, Nyorori, dan juga secara tidak langsung penonton vlog tersebut. Campur kode yang ditemukan dalam transkrip data dari vlog Eigo de chuumon! Honba no sheiku shakku de ura menyuu o tanonde miru berwujud campur kode dalam tingkat kata dan frasa. Faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode yang dilakukan oleh Chika adalah tidak tersedianya ungkapan dalam suatu bahasa dan prestise. This research analyzes the occurrences of language phenomenon termed code switching and code mixing, which are carried out by the bilingual YouTuber named Chika Yoshida, the Japanese host of the Bairingaaru Eikaiwa | Bilingirl Chika YouTube channel. The data in this research is taken from an episode of the video blog of Bairingaaru Eikaiwa's YouTube channel titled Eigo de chuumon! Honba no sheiku shakku de ura suu o tanonde miru. The objective of the research is to describe the forms of code switching and code mixing carried out by Chika in that vlog, in addition to identifying the causes of code switching and code mixing. Using the method of observation, data containing code switching and code mixing occurrences spoken by Chika is listed and then categorized. Meanwhile, the research is completed using qualitative descriptive technique, namely by observing the occurrences of code switching and code mixing, analyzing, and describing the form and causes in details. This research uses the theories of Hoffman (1991) and Suwito (1983) for code switching, as well as Suwito (1983) and Kridalaksana (2008) for code mixing. The results show that Bilingirl Chika often uses two types of code switching in the Eigo de chuumon! Honba no sheiku shakku de ura meneu o tanonde miru, which is intersentential code switching and intrasentential code switching. Meanwhile, reasons which caused her to use code switching is her own background as a bilingual as well as the background of the interlocutors. Her interlocutors in this case include Daichi, Nyorori, and indirectly the audience of her vlog. Code mixing phenomenones which occurred in the vlog Eigo de chuumon! Honba no sheiku shakku de ura meneu o tanonde miru are classified as word and phrase level code mixing. Meanwhile, the factors which caused her to use code mixing is the unavailability of specific expressions in a language as well as prestige.
