WACANA PEMBACAAN KARTU TAROT OLEH ATLANE JOY TERKAIT PREDIKSI KEBERLANJUTAN PERIODE PRESIDEN MACRON TAHUN 2022: ANALISIS SISTEM APPRAISAL

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi sistem appraisal pada wacana pembacaan kartu Tarot oleh Atlane Joy terkait prediksi keberlanjutan periode Presiden Macron tahun 2022. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni berupa video dokumentasi dari pembacaan kartu Tarot oleh Joy dengan topik pertanyaan berupa "akankah Emmanuel Macron kembali terpilih sebagai Presiden Prancis pada tahun 2022?" yang diunggah pada jejaring sosial Youtube. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan tiga alokasi dimensi sistem appraisal, yakni engagement, attitude dan graduation untuk menjawab dua permasalahan penelitian, yaitu (1) Seperti apakah sistem appraisal yang digunakan Joy dalam wacana pembacaan kartu Tarotnya pada topik prediksi keberlanjutan periode Emmanuel Macron sebagai Presiden Prancis tahun 2022? (2) Bagaimanakah wacana yang dibuat Joy dalam sesi praktik pembacaan kartu Tarotnya memengaruhi emosi dan persepsi audience dari sudut pandang appraisal? Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-interpretatif. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu dari 188 frekuensi kemunculan sistem appraisal yang teridentifikasi pada wacana Joy, 55,32% merupakan engagement, diikuti oleh attitude dengan persentase sebesar 28,16% dan graduation sebesar 16,49% dengan rincian frekuensi kemunculan dan besaran persentase tiap komponen tertera pada bagian kesimpulan dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel pada bagian lampiran. Sebagai strategi dalam mempengaruhi emosi audience, Joy lebih dominan menggunakan attitude berjenis affect bermuatan negatif dengan penggunaan serangkaian sumber linguistik yang memicu emosi negatif audience. Adapun graduation dan engagement digunakan Joy sebagai strategi dalam memengaruhi persepsi audience terkait suatu besaran atau takaran dan sumber informasi dalam ujaran yang disampaikan.

This research aims to identify the appraisal system on the discourse of Tarot card reading by Atlane Joy concerning the prediction of President Macron being reelected in 2022. The data source used in this research is a video documentation of Joy's Tarot card reading with the topic of question "will Emmanuel Macron be reelected as President of France in 2022?" uploaded on Youtube. From the results of the video of documentation, the data sources will be analyzed according to the three sub-types of the appraisal system dimension, namely engagement, attitude and graduation to answer two research problems, namely (1) What kind of appraisal system used by Joy in the discourse of her Tarot cards reading regarding the topic of the predition of President Macron being reelected in 2022? (2) How does Joy's discourse in her Tarot card reading practice affect the audience's emotions and perceptions from the point of view of appraisal? This research uses a descriptive-interpretative method. The results obtained are that of the 188 occurrence frequencies of the appraisal system identified in Joy's discourse, 55.32% is engagement, followed by attitude with a percentage of 28.16% and graduation of 16.49% with details of the frequency of occurrence and the percentage of each component listed in the conclusion section and presented in tabular form in the appendix section. As a strategy in influencing the audience's emotions, Joy is dominantly using the attitude, specifically negative affects by the use of linguistic sources with the sense that triggers the audience's negative emotions. Besides, Joy uses graduation and engagement as a strategy in influencing the audience's perception of a quantity or measure and the source of information in the speech delivered.
