EVALUASI PROGRAM DISEMINASI PENGEMBANGAN AYAM KAMPUNG UNGGUL BALITBANGTAN (KUB) DI PROPINSI SUMATERA SELATAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran aktor dalam program diseminasi pengembangan ayam KUB, persepsi peternak terhadap paket inovasi teknologi ayam KUB dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberlanjutan adopsi teknologi ayam KUB. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di 4 (empat) kabupaten/kota di propinsi Sumatera Selatan diantaranya kabupaten Banyuasin, Kota Lubuklinggau, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) dan Kabupaten Ogan Ilir (OI). Penentuan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara purposive dengan pertimbangan bahwa, ke 4 (empat) lokasi tersebut dijadikan sebagai lokasi percontohan pengembangan ayam KUB skala rumah tangga. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menganalisis hubungan sebab akibat antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat. Variabel yang diteliti adalah karakteristik inovasi (keuntungan relatif, kompatibilitas, kompleksitas, trialibilias, observabilitas) dan demografi peternak (umur, lama pendidikan, pengalaman beternak, yang diukur melalui kuesioner. Jumlah populasi berjumlah 300 peternak dan jumlah sampel berjumlah 172 responden dengan menggunakan rumus slovin. Kemudian dihitung proporsi sampel di setiap lokasi penelitian. Kuesioner menggunakan skala likert dan data ditabulasi kemudian di analisis dengan uji logistik biner untuk menilai keberlanjutan adopsi inovasi ayam KUB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran aktor dalam kegiatan diseminasi pengembangan ayam KUB meliputi beberapa tahapan dimulai dari koordinasi, tahapan sosialisasi dan bimbingan teknis, tahapan aplikasi teknologi/adopsi inovasi, tahapan pendampingan ke kelompok tani dan tahapan evaluasi. Kemudian, persepsi peternak terhadap karakter inovasi pengembangan ayam KUB secara keseluruhan termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan skor 129, artinya persepsi peternak terhadap inovasi teknologi pengembangan ayam KUB memberikan pengaruh positif pada peternak dan mendorong peternak untuk berupaya melanjutkan dan mengembangkan ayam KUB. Kemudian, hasil analisis dengan menggunakan analisis binomial logit (logistic biner) melalui penghitungan SPSS 20 menunjukkan bahwa variabel yang mempengaruhi keberlanjutan adopsi inovasi pengembangan ayam KUB adalah kompleksitas (kerumitan) dan trialibilitas (kemudahan diuji coba) dengan nilai sig <0,05.

This study aims to analyze the role of actors in the KUB chicken development dissemination program, farmers' perceptions of the KUB chicken technology innovation package and the factors that influence the sustainability of KUB chicken technology adoption. The research were conducted in 4 (four) regencies/cities in South Sumatra province, including Banyuasin Regency, Lubuklinggau City, Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Regency and Ogan Ilir Regency (OI). Determination of the research location was carried out purposively, considering that the 4 (four) locations were used as pilot locations for the development of KUB chickens on a household scale. The research method employed a quantitative approach by analyzing the causal relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable. The variables studied were the characteristics of innovation and farmer demographics measured through a questionnaire. The total population is 300 breeders, and the entire sample is 172 respondents using the slovin formula. Then the proportion of samples in each research location was calculated. The results showed that the role of actors in the dissemination activities of KUB chicken development included several stages: coordination, socialization and technical guidance, technological application/innovation adoption, and mentoring to farmer groups and evaluation stages. Farmer's perception of the innovative character of KUB chicken development is in the moderate category with a score of 129, meaning that farmers� perceptions of KUB chicken development technology innovations positively influence farmers and encourages farmers to strive to continue and develop KUB chickens. Then, the results of the analysis using binomial logit analysis (binary logistics) through SPSS 20 calculations show that the variables that affect the sustainability of the adoption of KUB chicken development innovations are complexity and trialibility with a sig value of <0,05.
