PREVALENSI TREMATODIASIS PADA SAPI DI KABUPATEN BREBES, KABUPATEN WONOGIRI, DAN KOTA SEMARANG PROVINSI JAWA TENGAH

Trematodiasis merupakan salah satu penyakit parasiter yang sering terjadi pada hewan ternak dan membuat kerugian ekonomi yang cukup tinggi bagi para peternak. Trematodiasis disebabkan oleh cacing dari kelas trematoda. Beberapa cacing yang seringkali ditemukan yakni cacing Fasciola sp. dan Paramphistomum sp. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prevalensi kejadian trematodiasis di tiga kabupaten/kota, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Jumlah sampel feses yang diteliti sebanyak 157 sampel yang kemudian diperiksa di laboratorium parasitologi Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Gadjah Mada menggunakan metode pemeriksaan Parfitt and Banks. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan didapatkan prevalensi trematodiasis di Kabupaten Brebes sebesar 8,8%, Kabupaten Wonogiri 14,7%, dan Kota Semarang 1,8% dengan jenis telur cacing ditemukan yaitu Fasciola sp. dan Paramphistomum sp.

Trematodiasis is a parasitic disease that often occurs in livestock and causes high economic losses for farmers. Trematodiasis is caused by worms of the trematodes class. Some of the worms that are often found are Fasciola sp. and Paramphistomum sp. This study aims to determine the prevalence of trematodiasis in three districts/cities in Central Java. The number of faecal samples were 157 samples which then examinated in the Parasitiology Laboratorium Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Gadjah Mada University using Parfitt and Banks examination method. The result of the research showed that the prevalence of trematodiasis in Brebes Regency was 8,8%, Wonogiri Regency 14,7% and Semarang City 1,8% with the type of worm eggs that found were Fasciola sp. and Paramphistomum sp.
