PERSEPSI WARGA DESA BEJI TERHADAP AKTIVITAS WISATA SEKS DI PONDOK WISATA DESA BEJI, KECAMATAN TAWANGMANGU, KABUPATEN KARANGANYAR

Desa Beji merupakan sebuah wilayah di Tawangmangu yang dikenal sebagai daerah pondok wisata. Pengelolaan bisnis pondok wisata ini sepenuhnya dilakukan oleh warga Desa Beji yang sudah beroperasi sejak sebelum tahun 2000-an dan mampu bertahan hingga sekarang ini. Namun, sayangnya dalam operasional pondok wisata ini terdapat aktivitas wisata seks terselubung di pondok wisata. Aktivitas wisata seks ini secara tidak langsung juga difasilitasi oleh pemilik pondok wisata dengan menyewakan kamar dengan sistem sewa short time dan melakukan kerjasama dengan calo penginapan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi warga Desa Beji terhadap aktivitas wisata seks yang terjadi di pondok wisata. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi dan wawancara mendalam terhadap lima kelompok narasumber (ketua RT dan ketua RW, pemilik pondok wisata, masyarakat yang tidak memiliki pondok wisata, calo penginapan serta tokoh agama). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa persepsi masyarakat yang menikmati keuntungan dari bisnis ini memberikan nilai negatif terhadap aktivitas wisata seks yang dilakukan oleh wisatawan. Meskipun demikian, mereka sangat menikmati bisnis wisata seks sebagai sumber penghidupan keluarganya. Di sisi lain, mayarakat yang tidak terlibat maupun tidak melibatkan diri dalam bisnis pondok wisata memberikan penilaian negatif untuk aktivitas seks bebas di lingkungannya. Hal itu dikarenakan, aktivitas wisata seks ini menimbulkan rasa ketidaknyamanan bagi mereka yang tidak memiliki pondok wisata.

Beji Village is an area in Tawangmangu known as a tourist lodge area. The management of this tourist lodge business is entirely carried out by the residents of Beji Village, which has been operating since before the 2000s and has survived until now. However, unfortunately, in this tourist lodge's operation, there are hidden sex tourism activities in the lodge. The owner of the tourist lodge indirectly facilitates this sex tourism activity by renting out rooms with a short time rental system and collaborating with inn brokers. This study aimed to determine the perception of the residents of Beji Village on sex tourism activities that occurred at the tourist lodge. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection carried out by conducting observations and in-depth interviews with five groups of participants (heads of RT and heads of RW, owners of tourist lodges, people who do not rent tourist lodges, inn brokers, and religious leaders). Based on the study results, it is known that the perception of people who earns the benefits of this business gives a negative perception of sex tourism activities carried out by tourists. Nevertheless, they enjoy the sex tourism business as a source of livelihood for their families. On the other hand, people who are neither involved nor involved in the tourist lodge business negatively perceive free sex activities in their environment. That's because this sex tourism activity causes a sense of discomfort for those who do not have a tourist lodge.
