Rekomendasi Kebijakan: Penguatan Peran Apoteker dalam Program Vaksinasi Nasional

Pandemi COVID-19 merupakan krisis kesehatan yang disebabkan oleh virus SARS-COV-2 dan telah menyebar ke seluruh dunia. Salah satu program yang dilaksanakan pemerintah untuk mencegah penularannya yakni dengan mengadakan program vaksinasi nasional. Akan tetapi, target pendistribusian vaksinasi yang ingin diraih belum tercapai, salah satu hambatannya adalah kekurangan sumber daya vaksinator. Apoteker memiliki peran dan potensi yang baik untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam analisis kebijakan adalah studi literatur dari berbagai regulasi yang sudah ada, lalu dibandingkan dengan regulasi negara lain, serta mengkaji hasil studi berkaitan dengan program vaksinasi. Rekomendasi kebijakan yang diberikan kepada pembuat kebijakan adalah merekomendasikan untuk mengadakan pelatihan sertifikasi vaksinator untuk apoteker di berbagai daerah Indonesia agar dapat membantu mengatasi hambatan dalam program vaksinasi nasional. Manfaat yang dapat diperoleh dengan rekomendasi tersebut adalah dapat menambah sumber daya vaksinator yang dibutuhkan di berbagai daerah dan mempercepat tercapainya target sasaran vaksinasi, sedangkan hambatannya adalah perlu menyusun kurikulum sertifikasi vaksinator yang tepat.

The COVID-19 pandemic is a health crisis caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus and has spread throughout the world. One of the programs implemented by the government to prevent transmission is by holding a national vaccination program. However, the vaccination distribution target to be achieved has not been achieved, one of the obstacles is the lack of vaccinator resources. Pharmacists have a good role and potential to overcome these problems. The method used in the policy analysis is a literature study of various existing regulations, then compared with regulations of other countries, as well as reviewing the results of studies related to vaccination programs. The policy recommendation given to policy makers is to recommend conducting vaccinator certification training for pharmacists in various regions of Indonesia in order to help overcome obstacles in the national vaccination program. The benefits that can be obtained from these recommendations are that it can increase the resources of vaccinators needed in various regions and accelerate the achievement of vaccination targets, while the obstacle is the need to develop an appropriate vaccinator certification curriculum.
