IDENTIFIKASI POTENSI GEOSITE KAWASAN GUNUNG PUSUK BUHIT, KABUPATEN SAMOSIR, PROVINSI SUMATERA UTARA SEBAGAI LANDASAN PENENTUAN KAWASAN GEOCULTURE - DIVERSITY

Kawasan Gunung Pusuk Buhit merupakan gunung api kuarter yang tidak aktif di Provinsi Sumatera Utara yang sangat unik dikarenakan keterdapatan potensi geosite dengan adanya kaitannya pada aspek kebudayaan. Akan tetapi, potensi geosite kawasan Gunung Pusuk Buhit berada diambang ketidakberlanjutan disebabkan oleh pengembangan keanekaragaman geologi yang belum maksimal dilakukan. Guna untuk melindungi potensi geosite kawasan Gunung Pusuk Buhit perlu dilakukan identifikasi potensi geosite sebagai landasan penentuan kawasan geoculture diversity. Identifikasi geosite yang dilakukan menggunakan Standar Nasional Indonesia inventarisasi dan identifikasi geosite oleh Pusat Survei Badan Geologi, perhitungan AHP potensi geosite dilakukan dengan berbagai parameter yang telah disusun serta mempertimbangkan hasil survei lapangan meliputi petrologi, petrografi,dan geomorfologi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, Stratigrafi kawasan Gunung Pusuk Buhit terdiri atas empat satuan litologi dari tua ke muda, yaitu Satuan Metasdimen, Satuan Lava Andesit Toba, Satuan Lava Andesit Pusuk Buhit, dan Satuan Lava Andesit Pusuk Buhit (Teralterasi). Sedangkan kondisi morfologi kawasan Gunung Pusuk Buhit terdiri atas empat satuan geomorfologi, yaitu Satuan Kerucut Gunungapi Pusuk Buhit, Satuan Punggungan Aliran Lava Gunungapi Pusuk Buhit, Satuan Perbukitan Aliran Lava Toba (Bagian Dinding Kaldera Toba), dan Satuan Perbukitan Aliran Material Lepas. Hasil inventarisasi dan identifikasi potensi geosite menghasilkan 12 geosite yang memiliki karakter nilai saintifik, nilai tambahan,dan nilai edukasi yang sangat mencolok. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan yang telah dilakukan menggunakan AHP, potensi geosite kawasan Gunung Pusuk Buhit berada pada tingkat berpotensi tinggi hingga cukup untuk mendukung kawasan Gunung Pusuk Buhit sebagai landasan kawasan geoculture diversity. Bila dibandingkan dengan kawasan Gunung Api lainnya, geosite kawasan Gunung Pusuk Buhit masih lebih berpotensi menjadi kawasan geoculture diversity.

The Pusuk Buhit Mountain area is an inactive quarter volcano in North Sumatra Province, which is unique because of its geosite potential with a cultural aspect. However, the geosite potential of the Pusuk Buhit Mountain area is on the verge of unsustainability caused by the development of geological diversity that has not been maximized. To protect the geosite potential of the Mount Pusuk Buhit area, the geosite potential must be identified as the basis for determining the geo culture diversity area. Geosite identification is carried out using the Indonesian National Standard for geosite inventory and identification by the Geological Survey Center. Geosite potential AHP calculations are carried out with various parameters prepared and take into account the results of field surveys, including petrology, petrography, and geomorphology. Based on the results of the study, the Stratigraphy of the Pusuk Buhit Mountain area consists of four lithological units from old to young, namely the Metasdimen Unit, Toba Andesite Lava Unit, Pusuk Buhit Andesite Lava Unit, and Pusuk Buhit Andesite Lava (Alterated) Unit. Meanwhile, the morphological condition of the Pusuk Buhit Mountain area consists of four geomorphological units, namely the Pusuk Buhit Volcanic Cone Unit, the Pusuk Buhit Volcanic Lava Flow Ridge Unit, the Toba Lava Flow Hills Unit (Part of Toba Caldera Wall), and the Loose Material Flow Hills Unit. The inventory and identification of potential geosites resulted in 12 geosites that have very striking characteristics of scientific value, additional value, and educational value. Based on the results of calculations carried out using AHP, the geosite potential of the Mount Pusuk Buhit area is at a high potential level to be sufficient to support the Mount Pusuk Buhit area as the basis for geo culture diversity areas. When compared to other volcanic areas, the geosite of Mount Pusuk Buhit has more potential to become an area of geoculture diversity.
