RELEVANSI ISU-ISU PERANG DUNIA DALAM HUBUNGAN JEPANG-KOREA SELATAN

Hubungan Jepang dan Korea Selatan dapat dikatakan sebagai sebuah hubungan yang membingungkan dan bersifat pasang surut sejak keduanya melakukan normalisasi hubungan di tahun 1965. Walaupun kedua negara secara ekonomi saat ini bergantung satu sama lain melalui perdagangan strategis semikonduktor. Namun, konflik sejarah yang berkaitan dengan isu-isu Perang Dunia seperti isu wanita penghibur dan isu pekerja paksa masih sering menghantui relasi strategis kedua negara. Pada tahun 2019 di bawah Pemerintahan Presiden Moon-Perdana Menteri Abe, kedua negara terlibat di dalam sebuah konflik perdagangan yang membuat hubungan kedua negara berada pada titik terendah sejak tahun 1965. Tulisan ini kemudian hadir untuk melihat, bagaimana isu-isu Perang Dunia mempengaruhi relasi hubungan kedua negara di masa terkhusus di bawah Pemerintahan Presiden Moon-Perdana Menteri Abe.

The relationship between Japan and South Korea can be said to be a confusing relationship since They normalized Their relations in 1965. Even though the two countries are currently economically dependent on each other through the strategic trade of semiconductors. However, historical conflicts related to World War issues such as the issue of comfort women and the issue of forced labor still often haunt the strategic relations of the two countries. In 2019 under the administration of President Moon-Prime Minister Abe, the two countries were involved in a trade conflict that made relations between the two countries at their lowest point since 1965. This paper tries to see how the issues of World War affect relations between the two countries in particular under President Moon-Prime Minister Abe's Administration.
