Tugas akhir ini berjudul “Terjemahan Novel Naritai Bab Ayakashi ni Naritai Bagian 1 dan 2 Karya Hatakenaka Megumi”. Novel ini adalah buku ke-14 dari rangkaian seri cerita Shabake. Seri Shabake ini menceritakan tentang seorang anak indigo bernama Ichi Taroo yang memiliki fisik yang lemah memecahkan berbagai misteri yang ada di kota Edo bersama para peri. Bab Ayakashi ni Naritai ini bercerita tentang usaha Ichi Taroo untuk membuat resep obat yang belum pernah dibuat sebelumnya dengan bantuan para peri. Novel Naritai ini dipilih sebagai bahan Tugas Akhir penerjemahan karena memiliki cerita yang unik. Selain itu, cerita yang diusung juga tidak terlalu berat sehingga dapat dibaca oleh semua kalangan usia. Novel ini juga mengajarkan tentang nilai-nilai moral mengenai upaya saling membantu dan melindungi satu sama lain di kala kesusahan datang. Ditambah lagi, novel Naritai ini juga belum pernah diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia, sehingga harapannya hasil terjemahan ini mampu mengenalkan ceritanya kepada masyarakat. Kendala yang dialami dalam proses penerjemahan novel Naritai ini adalah terdapat beberapa kata bahasa Jepang yang sulit dipahami. Selain itu, beberapa kosakata memerlukan pemahaman lebih dalam untuk mampu diterima dalam bahasa Indonesia. Dalam hal ini, pemilihan kata menjadi sangat penting agar pesan dari setiap kalimatnya dapat tersampaikan dengan baik.

The title of this final paper is “The Translation of Naritai Novel Chapter Ayakashi ni Naritai Part 1 and 2 by Hatakenaka Megumi”. This novel is the 14th book from Shabake series. This series is about story about a supernatural boy named Ichi Taroo whose weak body solve many kind of mysteries in a city named Edo. In this chapter, the story is started by all the friendly Ghost try to help Ichi Taroo who want to make a never-made-before medicine. This novel was chosen because it has a unique storyline. Furthermore, the story is easy to understand by all readers. The story teaches us about some moral values on how to help and keep each other whenever the other is facing a problem. On the other hand, novel Naritai has never been translated to Bahasa Indonesia before. Therefore, this translation is expected to be able to introduce the story to Indonesian readers. There are several problems encountered during the translation process, such as some words were difficult to be translated into Bahasa Indonesia because of lack of understanding of the equivalent words in the target language. Furthermore, some onomatopoeias are difficult to be translated into Bahasa Indonesia because the translator could not find the similar expressions. Therefore, choosing the right translation words are very important, so that there will be no mistranslation and the readers will be able to understand the whole story.
