The Effect of Finance Sources Availability on Nascent Entrepreneurship.

Ketersediaan atau akses kepada sumber finansial adalah salah satu isu yang sangat mempengaruhi kewirausahaan baru dalam membentuk sebuah usaha. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk melihat pengaruh dari ketersediaan finansial eksternal: Pembiayaan utang dan ekuitas serta investor informal kepada pengusaha menggunakan fixed-effects mdodel dengan data tahun 2012 - 2017 dari Global Entrepreneurhsip Monitor (GEM) di 36 negara. Hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa adanya investor informal secara signifikan mempengaruhi kewirausahaan baru dan akses mereka terhadap sumber pembiayaan eksternal. Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai landasan untuk penelitian di masa depan mengenai ketersediaan sumber keuangan di industry tertentu. Selain itu, diskusi dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih luas kepada pembuat kebijakan atau pemerintah tentang kewirausahaan dan membantu mereka mengatur, merencanakan, dan mendorong kewirausahaan.

Capital availability or access to financing resources are one of the most significant issues affecting nascent entrepreneurs in the process of new venture formation. This thesis examines the influence of the availability of external financing sources: debt and equity financing and informal investors on nascent entrepreneurship rate using the fixed effects models in the period 2012-2017 using data from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) in 36 countries. The findings show that only business angels or informal investors have a statistically significant and positive effect on the nascent entrepreneurship rate. The results suggest that the availability of informal investors can significantly affect nascent entrepreneurship and their access to external financing. This research can provide a foundation for future research on the availability of finance sources in a specific industry. Also, the discussion can provide policymakers or governments with a broader sense of entrepreneurship and help them regulate, plan, and stimulate entrepreneurship.
