UGM Press memiliki Sistem Informasi GAMA Press (SIGAP) yang berfungsi untuk mengelola berbagai bagian pada bisnis yang dijalankan. Akan tetapi, proses bisnis pengelolaan buku pada sistem hanya sampai pada tahap produksi, sedangkan bagian inventori buku masih melakukan pencatatan informasi stok buku dengan cara semikonvensional, yaitu dengan menggunakan kertas dan excel. Penggunaan cara ini berpotensi menimbulkan human error sehingga mengakibatkan data catatan dengan yang sebenarnya kurang tersinkronisasi. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan pengembangan SIGAP pada inventori buku agar pengelolaan inventori buku dapat tercatat dalam sistem. Pengembangan pada bagian back-end menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dengan framework CodeIgniter beserta manajemen basis data MySQL. Untuk bagian front-end sistem, digunakan HTML, CSS, dan Javascript serta framework Bootstrap.

UGM Press currently has Sistem Informasi GAMA Press (SIGAP) which able to manage various department of the business. However, the book management business process in the system only covers up to the production stage, while the book inventory section is still recording book stock information in a semi-conventional way, using paper and excel. By using this method, the potential of human error may appear, resulting in the actual data records being less synchronized. Therefore, the development of SIGAP on book inventory is carried out so that book inventory management can be saved in the system. The development on the back-end of the system uses the PHP programming language with the CodeIgniter framework and MySQL database management. While on the front-end, HTML, CSS, and Javascript are used with the Bootstrap framework.
