PENGARUH MOTIVASI INTRINSIK TERHADAP FLOW EXPERIENCE SANTRI PONDOK PESANTREN MAHASISWA (PPM) PADA MASA MUNAQASYAH

Pondok pesantren mahasiswa (PPM) adalah pondok pesantren yang menawarkan mahasiswa untuk menjadi santri atas kesadaran dan pilihan sendiri. Dengan kata lain, motif mahasiswa menjadi santri di PPM ini intrinsik. Di samping tugas dan peran ganda sebagai santri dan mahasiswa, santri PPM dihadapkan stressful event lain yaitu munaqasyah (ujian akhir semester/periode). Berkaitan dengan ini, flow dianggap sebagai mekanisme koping yang berguna bagi santri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi intrinsik terhadap flow experience santri pada masa munaqasyah. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan skala Intrinsic Motivation Inventory (IMI) dan Flow State Scale (FSS) yang diwujudkan dalam form online. Dari 63 responden, 77,8% memiliki motivasi intrinsik yang tinggi dan 22,2% sedang. Sebesar 66,7% responden mengalami flow experience yang tinggi, dan 33,3% mengalami flow sedang. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa motivasi intrinsik berpengaruh positif terhadap flow experience santri pada masa munaqasyah dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 46,9%.

PPM was an Islamic boarding school that offers college students to be 'santri' by their own choice. In other words, the student's motive to became 'santri' in PPM was intrinsic. Besides the double role and duty as student and santri, PPM students were faced with another stressful event called munaqasyah (final semester exam). Related to this matter, flow experience was considered as a coping mechanism that's useful for the students. This study aimed to understand intrinsic motivation's effect on PPM student's flow experience during the munaqasyah exam. The method used was quantitative method with Intrinsic Motivation Inventory (IMI) and Flow State Scale (FSS) presented in an online form. Of 63 respondents, 77,8% had high intrinsic motivation, and the other 22,2% were average. About 66,7% of respondents reported that they experienced high flow experience and 33,3% experienced average level of flow. Analysis results showed that intrinsic motivation had a positive effect on PPM student's flow motivation during the munaqasyah exam with coefficient of determination of 46,9%.
