MANIFESTASI KEBENCIAN YORITOMO TERHADAP YOSHITSUNE DALAM NOVEL MINAMOTO NO YORITOMO KARYA YOSHIKAWA EIJI : ANALISIS PSIKOLOGI SASTRA

Novel Minamoto no Yoritomo karya Yoshikawa Eiji bercerita tentang perjuangan Yoritomo untuk bangkit dari kekalahan dan membangun pemerintahan Kamakura. Dalam rangka mewujudkan tujuan tersebut, Yoritomo mengalami berbagai macam konflik, salah satu di antaranya adalah munculnya perasaan benci Yoritomo terhadap adik tirinya, Yoshitsune. Penelitian ini menganalisis bentuk-bentuk kebencian tokoh Yoritomo terhadap tokoh Yoshitsune serta faktor yang melatarbelakangi munculnya kebencian tersebut. Metode penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Pertama-tama tema serta fakta cerita yang berupa alur, tokoh, penokohan, serta latar akan dianalisis untuk mengenalkan novel Minamoto no Yoritomo Buku II pada pembaca. Selanjutnya teori segitiga kebencian Robert J. Sternberg digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengkaji ekspresi yang ditunjukkan oleh tokoh Yoritomo terkait dengan kebenciannya terhadap Yoshitsune. Analisis menggunakan teori segitiga kebencian meliputi analisis terhadap komponen serta bentuk-bentuk kebencian Yoritomo. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kebencian Yoritomo terhadap Yoshitsune dilatarbelakangi oleh dua faktor utama, yaitu kecemasan Yoritomo terhadap kestabilan Kamakura dan hasutan dari Kagetoki. Berdasarkan teori segitiga kebencian Robert J. Sternberg, kebencian Yoritomo terdiri atas tiga komponen yang berupa ketidakintiman, hasrat, dan komitmen. Ketiga komponen tersebut saling berkaitan dan dimanifestasikan ke dalam 7 bentuk kebencian pada diri Yoritomo. Bentuk-bentuk tersebut di antaranya adalah (1) cool hate, (2) hot hate, (3) cold hate, (4) boiling hate, (5) simmering hate, (6) seething hate, dan (7) burning hate.

The novel Minamoto no Yoritomo by Yoshikawa Eiji is about the struggle of Yoritomo to rise from his clan’s defeat and build the Kamakura government. In order to achieve this goal, Yoritomo experienced various kinds of conflicts, one of which is the emergence of Yoritomo's feelings of hatred for his younger brother, Yoshitsune. This study analyses the forms of hatred of Yoritomo towards Yoshitsune and the factors which trigger the emergence of this hatred. This research method is descriptive qualitative. First, the novel themes and facts of the story in the form of plot, characters, characterizations, and settings will be analyzed to introduce the Minamoto no Yoritomo Book II novel to the reader. Furthermore, Robert J. Sternberg's triangular theory of hate is used in this study to examine the expressions shown by the character Yoritomo related to his hatred for Yoshitsune. Analysis using the triangular theory of hate includes analysis of the components and forms of Yoritomo's hatred. The results of this study indicates that Yoritomo's hatred toward Yoshitsune is motivated by two main factors, namely Yoritomo’s anxiety about the stability of Kamakura and the provocation from Kagetoki. According to Robert J. Sternberg's triangular theory of hate, Yoritomo's hatred consists of three components, namely negation of intimacy, passion, and commitment. These three components are interrelated to each other and manifested in 7 forms of hatred. These forms include (1) cool hate, (2) hot hate, (3) cold hate, (4) boiling hate, (5) simmering hate, (6) seething hate, and (7) burning hate.
