Wacana Negara Bangsa Indonesia dalam Novel Cantik itu Luka Karya Eka Kurniawan

Novel ini menceritakan narasi sejarah bangsa yang dinarasikan ulang dalam bentuk perjalanan tokoh utama Dewi Ayu dan keluarganya.. Novel Cantik itu Luka merupakan penulisan sejarah Indonesia dalam bentuk narasi fiksi yang penuh dengan elemen magis. Penelitian ini berangkat dari konsepsi bahwa novel sejarah, sebagai gabungan narasi masa lalu dan fiksi, mengandung di dalamnya narasi wacana tentang negara bangsa paska-kolonial. Cantik itu Luka, sebagai novel sejarah Indonesia, mengandung di dalamnya wacana-wacana atas negara-bangsa Indonesia Tujuan utama dari penelitian adalah untuk mengungkap wacana negara-bangsa Indonesia dalam novel Cantik itu Luka. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan metode analisis wacana. Konsep teoritis wacana dari Foucault dan konsep bangsa dari Ben Anderson digunakan untuk menganalisis narasi sejarah dalam novel Cantik itu Luka. Analisis wacana atas novel Cantik itu Luka mengungkap bahwa bangsa Indonesia diimajinasikan sebagai komunitas keluarga. Komunitas keluarga yang hibrid, yang lahir dari percampuran kolonial antara sistem budaya penjajah dan terjajah. Analisis mengungkap bangsa Indonesia dalam narasi Cantik itu Luka dibentuk dari suatu wacana kekerasan kolonial. Suatu wacana kekerasan kolonial yang diekspresikan dan direproduksi melalui kekerasan atas tubuh seksual. Melalui tubuh pascakolonial, keluarga, konsepsi kebangsaan modern Indonesia didirikan.
Beauty is a Wound is a novel that was written by Eka Kurniawan at the end of Soeharto's New Order regime. This novel tells the narrative of the history of the Indonesian nation in the form of the journey of the main character Dewi Ayu and her family. The novel Beauty is a Wound is an Indonesian history writing in the form of a fictional narrative filled with magical elements. This research departs from the conception that historical novels, as a combination of past narratives and fiction, contain narratives of discourse about the post-colonial nation state. Beauty is a Wound, as an Indonesian historical novel, contains discourses on the Indonesian nation-state. The main question is to what kind of of Indonesian nation-state discourse contained within the narrative of Beauty is a Wound. Analysis was carried out using the discourse analysis method. The theoretical concept of discourse from Foucault and the concept of the nation from Ben Anderson are used to analyze the historical narrative in the novel Beauty is a Wound. Discourse analysis of the novel Beauty is a Wound reveals that the Indonesian nation is imagined as in the form of family. A hybrid family, born from the colonial mixing between the cultural systems of the colonizer and the colonized. Analysis reveals that the Indonesian nation in the narrative of Beauty is a Wound was formed from a discourse of colonial violence. A discourse of colonial violence which was expressed and reproduced violence against the sexual body. It was through the postcolonial body, the family, the conception of modern Indonesian nation was formed.
