Perilaku agresif yang dilakukan oleh anggota komunitas suporter telah memakan banyak korban jiwa. Fenomena ini terjadi di setiap daerah di Indonesia termasuk Kota Yogyakarta. Belum ada upaya yang tepat untuk mencegah fenomena ini terjadi, terbukti dari gagal nya islah suporter yang diadakan oleh polisi serta tidak dihiraukannya regulasi terkait perilaku kekerasan yang dilakukan suporter. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan menemukan pemaknaan perilaku agresif yang dilakukan anggota komunitas suporter sepak bola. Enam orang anggota suporter Brajamusti (suporter klub bola PSIM) yang berasal dari laskar komunitas yang berbeda dipilih menjadi partisipan penelitian ini, partisipan memiliki usia 23 sampai 26 tahun. Penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Hasil temuan dari penelitian ini adalah perilaku agresif yang dilakukan disebabkan oleh kelekatan identitas diri dengan tim, pengaruh substansi alkohol, perilaku agresif sebagai identitas komunitas, perilaku agresif sebagai media ekspresi, dan sentimen negatif terhadap komunitas dan tim rival.

Aggressive behaviour carried out by members of the supporter community has claimed many lives. This phenomenon occurs in every region in Indonesia, including the city of Yogyakarta. There has been no proper effort to prevent this phenomenon from occurring, as evidenced by the failure of supporters gathering held by the police and ignoring regulations on violent behavior by supporters. This research was conducted with the aim of finding the meaning of aggressive behaviour by members of the football supporter community. Six members of Brajamusti supporters (PSIM football club supporters) who came from different brajamusti's underbow community were selected to be participants in this study, the participants were 23 to 26 years old. The research was conducted qualitatively using a phenomenological approach. The aggressive behaviors were caused by attachment with the team and their community, the influence of alcoholic substances, aggressive behavior as a community identity, aggressive behaviour as a way to express their feelings, and negative sentiment towards their rivals.
