Nyala Redup Party ID di Negara Demokrasi (Identifikasi Pengaruh Internal Partai Golkar terhadap Terbentuknya Party ID)

Penelitian ini berusaha menjelaskan dan mengidentifikasi berbagai faktor internal partai politik yang memiliki keterkaitan dengan rendahnya party ID. Meskipun demokratisasi telah digulirkan sejak runtuhnya kekuasaan Soeharto, tetapi partai politik yang memegang peranan penting dalam sistem politik kita justru semakin tidak berdaya. Rendahnya party ID telah menimbulkan fragmentasi yang membuat kurang representatifnya sistem kepartaian kita. Kebanyakan studi-studi yang penulis temukan mengenai permasalahan party ID ini, mencoba memahaminya menggunakan sosialisasi politik sebagai pendekatannya. Penulis berusaha menghadirkan sudut pandang lain dengan melihat bagaimana partai diorganisasikan. Dalam hal ini, penulis menjadikan pengorganisasian Partai Golkar pasca Soeharto sebagai fokus penelitian, yang secara genealogis tidak pernah jauh dan sedikit banyak mendapat insentif dari kekuasaan. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan varian kajian historis. Data yang penulis analisa bersumber dari buku, jurnal akademik, berita, video, dan dokumen yang memiliki keterkaitan dengan pengorganisasian Partai Golkar. Penelitian ini dibantu dengan teori pengorganisasian partai yang dirumuskan oleh Scarrow dan Webb, yang menekankan pada struktur, sumber daya, dan strategi representasi. Hasil temuan dari penelitian yang penulis lakukan ini, menunjukkan bahwa memang terdapat pengaruh dari buruknya pengorganisasian partai terhadap rendahnya party ID. Penulis menemukan empat variabel utama yang menjadi penyebabnya, yakni dominasi ketua umum, sentralisasi kebijakan, kuatnya faksionalisme, dan kegagalan representasi. Pada bagian akhir penelitian ini penulis merefleksikan beberapa hal yang harus dibenahi oleh partai, sebagai institusi politik yang masih memegang peran kunci dalam sistem demokrasi kita.

The study tried to explain and identify the internal factors of the political party that were tied to the low of party id. Although democratization has been implemented on since the collapse of soeharto's power, the political parties that play an important role in our political system are even increasingly helpless. The low of party id has generated fragmentation which makes our party system less representative. Most of the studies that the author found on this party id problem, try to understand it using political socialization as his approach. The author tried to present a different point of view by seeing how the party was organized. In this case, the author has made the Golkar Party organization in the post-soeharto as the focus of research, which is intrinsically never far away and gets a more or less of the incentives from power. In this study, author employed qualitative methods with variants of historical study. The data analyzed came from books, academic journals, news, videos, and documents that had some relevance to the organization of the golkar party. The study was supported by the party organization theory formulated by scarrow and webb, which emphasized the structure, resources, and strategy of representation. The findings of this study show that there has indeed been an adverse effect on the party's lack of party id. The author discovered the four main variables that constituted the cause, namely the domination of the general chairman, the centralization of policy, the powerful factionalism, and the failure of representation. At the end of this study the author reflected some of the things that the party should be overcome, as a political institution that still holds a key role in our democratic system.
